Pierre Maguire is a loathsome human being
CdnWingsFanEh replied to Probert 5 For Fighting's topic in General
Go easy on Maguire. He has special needs. -
Lilja will play. Barring injury, Lebda will sit.
-
Kronwall has really come into his own this season. Like the other poster has said his biggest problem is being prone to injury. Keep up the good work, Kronner...

Yeah.,.. when Flip gets back...

Sorry, but what is March madness? My mom follows hockey. I hate basketball... :puke:
-
Don't paint all us canucks (nationality, not the team) with that same brush... I like our tandem...
-
I meant this season, though yeah, agreed! Ugh...
-
Best trade that was never made... I like Fedorov, but not for that price...
-
Welcome aboard!

I'm fine with them fighting over the table scrap minutes of 6th d-man. Drastic reduction of minutes for them will make me happy. This might help light a fire under their @sses.

Lidstrom saves far more games for us than he costs us though, and costs far fewer games than Lilja. Those 2 are in 2 different skill leagues... edit: clarity

Even though I was annoyed with a lack of a bigger name catch at the deadline, in retrospect, I hate to say it, but Kenny made a pretty good move. I would've happily given up Lebda or Lilja or picks, for Feds, but that aside, it's good that we didn't give up on our future, either. The injury bug is our biggest nemesis right now. We WILL be dominant again. I am feeling better already. My trade deadline anger is gone

I went back and forth the last month between him and Lebda, as to who was worse. After screaming at the tv last night at him, I have come to the decision that it is him. God he sucks. Making a bad play every now and then is excuseable. He makes them far too often, though. Ugh. I have no more use for him.

Maybe Pierre secretly works for ESPN... Retard...

I think what the other poster meant is that Ericsson leads the defensemen in scoring on the Griffins (although he is actually tied for first in defense with Stafford, both with 7-18 and 25). Not trying to put word in the other poster's mouth, but I had heard it announced during the last game this way, and initially it was kind of misleading. They originally said leads the team, then had to correct themselves to say leads the team's defense.

Agreed, but I was more getting at the fact that I hadn't seen enough of his play to make a really informed opinion on him yet. Watching him, he played well for someone in his second game. But that's just it, it's his second game, and he could get a lot better, or a lot worse.
-
I was impressed with Ericsson, but a lot of it simply had to do with his size. Meech on the other hand, the last few games, has been impressing me more and more every time I watch him. He still has a way to go with his defensive play, but man, has that kid got a rocket of a shot! And not only that, but the shots are good shots, not just like Samuelsson's at the crest on the goalies jersey. I'm impressed by it, but let's see how it goes. Edit: spelling

My bad, then

Maybe I'm missing something, but he currently isn't signed to a deal, and so he would be signed as a UFA, and therefore wouldn't have to clear waivers to play on the wings, and I'm guessing the wings would sign him to a 2-way deal, given that he isn't in game shape yet, so he wouldn't have to clear waivers on the way down...
-
Well, Maltby would keep 18 over Hossa... Datsyuk keeps 13 over Sundin... Quincy would likely give up 4 for Blake if asked I would think... Cheli would keep 24 over McCabe... Like the last poster said, it would really only happen with a proven player vs an unproven kid...
-
I'm a little torn on this one. He's great on the pk, hits/blocked shots etc, but yeah, at the same time, he's careless, and has too many turnovers. If signed, I wouldn't want more than 1 year for him, and he gets a raise, it might only be to 1.25-1.5.
