I gotta be honest, I have no intention of getting the Pain Train's autograph, BUT, if I'm coming from out of the area, I'm willing to pay for the autograph, just to know for certain the player will be there. 10 bucks for Lilja is reasonable. Zetterberg is doing a private sigining in February, and the fee is $43-56 depending on the item. When Yzerman was doing his signings, he charged $95.00 per sig. I hate having to pay too, but that's the way it is. For those of us who don't live in Detroit and have the luxury of going to the arenas frequently for them, it's the only way we know we will be able to get one.

Glad you meant Dallas Drake, and not Dallas Stars.... Go Wings Go!!!

I'm sure many of the players give their autographs to fans for free. (though I understand the wings do it less than other teams). Keep in mind, however, it's usually a promoter that collects the money that is paid for the autograph, not the player in these instances. The player is paid by the promoter specifically for an appearance, and then the promoter charges his own fee for what he thinks he can make...

I still feel Cujo got screwed over in Detroit. He stood on his head on the p/os.

gotta say I'm excited to see what the Zetterberg, Hudler, Samuelsson line can do... GO WINGS GO!

Sign me up to pass around some of the thanks too! 3 words: BEST FORUMS EVER!!!

Actually, Zetterberg is locked for next season as well. That's why he is not allowed to negotiate for a new contract yet. Not until the end of the season.

Stanley cup in Detroit.....

I'm not quite so sure about that. I mean, they are rotating the alternate captain to Datsyuk, and not to Maltby or Holmstrom. Not that either of them couldn't handle it, I just think they would likely give it to Dats, and maybe an "A" to one of the others.. (if for whatever reason it didn't go to Z, which I don't ever see happening) Edit: clarity

Didn't Holland at one point all but say it would be Zetterberg once Lidstrom retires? I think it was while they were picking Lidstrom for the current Captain. I think it goes to show that they are at least grooming him to be the next one... I think it'll be pretty hard to wrestle it away from him at this point...

I was thinking the same kind of thing when I saw it was both of them. But, what would stop Chris Chelios from ignoring that person? Anyone go to this?
