Like the poster above said, signingshotline.com is the absolute best place to find autograph sessions on the net. The biggest problem, with that site, however, is that they have a members only portion of the site. You can see that certain players are going to be doing an auto session, and you can get a rough idea of when it will be, but it won't give you the exact date, of time or prices until like 7 days before the session, unless you sign up. Case in point, the Draper/Chelios session is listed on the site, but up until today, they did not show any details of the sessions. Much like the future Bowman and Zetterberg sessions. It costs 14.99 for the delux membership for 1 year. I think if there were an importamt enough signing, I wouold pay it to get the info in advance, but as of yet, it hasn't happened. I have found a small trick to get a better idea of the day they will occur, though. If you look at the closest signers with actual posted dates, on either side of the person you are looking at, that at least gives you a smaller date range to work with. The actual info for Draper/Chelios I think I got from the Becketts website forums. I have nothing to do at work sometimes, and spend lots of time surfing the web.....

Yeah, I saw that. I just wasn't sure if they were doing it at their store, or another one. Sometimes they call it a private sigining, and it's just cause they aren't holding it, but will take your articles to get signed. Like the Joe Sakic signing in January. It's actually being done somewhere in Detroit (can't find out where, dammit) but they say it's a private signing. They just get people to bring their stuff, and then take it all to that shop for the autos... (in Detroit in this case). Now, it may be a private sigining in Detroit (I'd be surprised if it wasn't) but still...

Dunno. Sorry. That was all the information I got. I know Zetterberg is doing a session in February, as well, but I'm not sure of the details. I believe it's a private sigining in Toronto, though I could be mistaken...

I think nearly any deal with Hudler or Flip in it would be a bad one. There isn't a whole lot we'd be able to get in exchange for either (realistically, that is) that would make up for their loss in the future years. I don't think Holland would pull the trigger on either of them anyway. He pretty much said they weren't going anywhere before (yes I know he could change his mind) anyways. I just think Holland realizes the value of hanging on to the talent we have for the future of the club, rather than the immediate gratification of the cup. My 2 cents. edit: spelling

As long as it's not "I like big butts"!!! How about a train whistle for the "Pain Train"

The first dish of crow today comes with blue cheese and mixed raw veggies! All future crow-eaters will have to eat their crow sans extras! Everybody slide over, and make some room!

Oh man, Ozzy rules! Great s/o Ozzy! Happy Thanksgiving to my neighbours from the south!!!! Gotta say I feel like I miss out by not having a Holiday near the end of November..... Lets Go Red Wings!!!!

Detroit-Toronto... Now don't flame me, I know hell will have a better chance of freezing over, than Toronto making the p/os this year, but he asked who were we dying to see...sentamentality reasons, I guess. Realistically, teams who actually stand a chance, though? Detroit-Ottawa. That would be an awesome match-up, I think. I'd be going to those ones!!!

This is pretty much what I was too lazy to bother saying....

I really don't think we'll see those days again, unless Illitch sells the wings, AND the new owner doesn't give a crap.
-
I actually think they should be split up occasionally in games. Maybe not every game, but with some regularity. The start of the season is the time to play with line combos, and changes, to create chemistry between other players.
-
I think it would be a good idea to spilt them up for a few games to give some other lines some chemistry early on. It's great that we have a line we can go back to, in order to get the points, but we need another big scoring line as well imho. Filp-Z-Cleary Rex-Dats-Homer Franzen-Draper-Maltby Drake-Kopecky-Downey 4'8, 74lbs....hahahaha

I'm sure he would have preferred to be drafted by the Red Wings, but we can't all have what we want in life...He'll have to make due with the Black Hawks... Great player, though...

I could be wrong, but I believe the rule is once you respond in a thread, you are then able to start a thread...wait a minute..... here's the link... http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44053 There ya go. Welcome aboard, swefan...

That's funny, cause I was just thinking something along the same lines. Though not quite as harsh. Edit: By the way, welcome to the boards, wingnut7180!

Hmmmm, I would say it's the system. If, by 'system' you mean talent on the ice. And, if by talent on the ice you mean Lidstrom. I think losing Lidstrom will make a huge impact on the wings, myself. He is one of the biggest reasons for the continued success of the wings. He's a calming force on the ice for them, slowing the game down for them. I hope I'm wrong, though, and it just stays the same once he leaves... Go Wings! -
Zetterberg says he wants to spend his whole career in Detroit
CdnWingsFanEh replied to stevkrause's topic in General
He did that last contract. He'll likely take less than he deserves, to help the team, but I would be surpised if he got less than Dats this time. Class act. -
Way to go, Z. Keep it up!!!!!

Gotta agree with ya here.... I think you hit the nail on the head...

2 time zones apart...therefore 2-3 hours difference... When the time is 10:30 in Detroit, it's 7:30 in Edmonton... or 8:30, depending on whether they have switched over to daylight savings... Just for clarification.

No, it means Holland will now have to pull off one of his 5th rounders, and Lilja for Kipper deals. Oh, but they get a 3rd rounder if he signs an extension with the wings...
