I prefer to think of it as 82 games of nhl play-off previews/warmups... We know we'll be in, we just need to see how we're going to play against all the possible match-ups! (of course we play more games against the more likely teams...

Gotta give credit where credit is due. He has picked up on so many levels. Laying hits. Good sound defensive playing. Very FEW mistakes / turnovers. Sorry, but I was just really impressed with the way he picked it up. I think being benched for half the season helped him realize why he was brought to Detroit. Props to him for being smart enough to catch on.

Playoffs? Lilja hands down. The difference between last year, and this year is like night and day. It was like getting a whole different player. Yes, he made a huge mistake, but it was just that, a mistake. He was a big player (defensively) for the wings. And I used to hate him. I hope he returns playing the same way next season. It will make Babcocks job a little more difficult. That beings said, Filps made a big name for himself too.

I've never really been that imressed with Pierre Mcguire. Very biased against the wings. That's my opinion, though.

If we can find someone to fill the void (scoring) I'd be happy. It's too bad he can't be traded for someone who could bring us back some value. I think on another team, with a change of scenery, he might do a little better. I have a nagging suspicion (sp) that Holland being Holland, Lang will have a 1 year contract soon.... We'll see, I guess.

I'm happy with the trade. Let's see what happens in the off season (resigning). Ok, I've seen this response many times, but could never figure it out. What does it stand for? Just curious.

He's been good, but to honest, I think he (along with me) should want that second goal back. He was doing his snow angels too early. Not ragging on him, just think he really should've had that one. -

I think the only way as both a Canadian, AND a Wings fan I could root for a Canadian NHL team is If the Wings relocated to Canada! That would be so cool! (For me of course, not necessarily for everyone else.) Of course the name DETROIT would have to stay, and really how much sense does that make? Go WINGS GO! Edit Spelling

Meh, I really don't think it sends any bad mojo until the game is underway, and Dom is playing his mind out! Although when the stupid announcer says it halfway through, and then says "I don't believe it is bad luck" that annoys me. I forget who said that during the last game, (one of the TSN announcers) but I was ready to rip his heart out through the screen. Other than that, no seriousness at all!!! Edit: oh and yes, Chelios is freakin sweet! -

I was just thinking this. No, I've never seen him throw earth-shattering hits, but as long as he can take the hits, and keep playing who cares. I've never seen him have a 'problem' with a hit, other than being pissed off like most players. He can bury the puck, though, which is one of his biggest assets. He was a good player for the games he was in these p/o's.
