Softest 2nd line in the NHL? Not sure why people keep expecting Bertuzzi to leave, Holland has stated several times in recent months that he plans to re-sign Bert next season. If he accepts another $1.5 mil, you can bet on him being on the roster.
-
Bert has surpassed expectations for the Wings this season, I hope he signs up for another season or two. 44 pts for $1.5 million, how can you complain?
-
2nd line was unstoppable out there tonight
-
******* ridiculous
-
Wings aren't generating any offense and they're letting Doan manhandle them again...not sure why they're so afraid of this guy, he can't do s*** without leaving his feet.
-
This might not be the best example in this case, but I agree with him that the East is weak compared to the West.
-
If it weren't for the Wings, I would do exactly that...walk away from this league. I don't believe the NHL has any integrity at this point, and while I don't think there is an outright conspiracy to advance specific teams, I do think it's a HUGE conflict of interest for the NHL to own a team. I'm not aware of any other time when a professional sports league has owned it's own team (correct me if I'm wrong, no clue about this).
-
Cleary hasn't done a ******* thing all season, don't see any reason to move him up now. Bertuzzi-Datsyuk-Holmstrom was a good line, but I think using Bert as a screen on the 2nd line is the plan for now. Filppula's softness is making it hard though, he can't hang in the corners.
-
I'm with you, if I wasn't a Red Wings die-hard, I'd probably give up on this league altogether. The NHL seriously needs to look at the way the NFL and MLB are run and learn what it takes to have a professional league.
-
Draper only took 5 faceoffs in game 1, other than his speed he's not doing anything critical at this point...not a big risk letting May step in for a game.
-
Not even close to Filppula...NHL officiating continues it's ridiculous downward spiral of failure.
-
It'd be nice just to have someone in the lineup who isn't afraid to hit Doan.
-
Before I even read your post I was going to say, easy answer...because we got manhandled. Williams needs to sit.
-
Rafalski has looked awful tonight, and Williams needs to be benched for Abdelkader asap.
-
Red Wings and Coyotes are a draw on offense? Coyotes are superior on the PK? This s*** makes my brain hurt.
-
Claude Lemieux can die in a ******* fire...how's that for appreciation? Edit: It's a gag
-
I was in that crowd during the Vladdy clip, serious memories
-
Wait, so the Coyotes are already crying about Holmstrom before the series has even started?
-
Sorry no. If you can't get your own fans to show up to the games, then you probably don't need to have a hockey team in Arizona.
-
The comments are even more ridiculous than the article written by some 14 year old internet toughguy "i don’t care if we lose game one, as long as we take every redwings star player and murder them." ...really man? Where were all these super fans when the Coyotes were ranking last in attendance all season?
-
While this is true, I think I'd still rather see Philly fans crying in their beers Sunday night.
-
I'd much rather see the Rangers make it over the mullet patrol from Philly.
-
Williams' effect on the power play hasn't been dramatic, I could see Abdelkader stepping in for him.
-
Filppula skating hard...in the opposite direction of the net he's supposed to be shooting at.
