Sorry, but he hasn't been sucking all season...keep talking s***, seems to be helping him. There are plenty of other players on this team doing worse than Bertuzzi who make a lot more than $1.5 million a season. Give me a break.

I agree completely, I suspect he embellished the injury to try and cover up the fact that he knew what he did was wrong. He deserves to be suspended.

Looked intentional to me, and hard to argue considering he has a "history" of doing this now...any other player (except maybe Cindy or Malkin) would be suspended for this. I'll go ahead and say I'm skeptical of the injury too just to piss off the fan bois.

Why feel sorry for him? He played on 6 power plays yesterday with his buddy Zetterberg and they did nothing. He's just as responsible for the current funk as anyone else on the team.

Really? 'Cause Datsyuk spent plenty of time with Holmstrom and Zetterberg tonight and didn't do a ******* THING. People need to get off this "Bertuzzi is making us lose" kick, it's not even realistic at this point.

Don't see the Wings' coming back in this one unless a miracle happens...half the team is floating, tons of turnovers, awful powerplay...

I'll give you that, he's definitely trying to make the pass and too often there's no one there to receive it. For once we could actually use a floater like Hull or Lang

It's been Holmstrom. Holmstrom doesn't backcheck, he skates like he has cement shoes, he can't keep the puck along the wall, he can't skate the puck up ice, he can't pass and he can't shoot. Having a guy on the top line who does NOTHING but screen and tip in is a complete waste when he can't do anything else.

This thread is full of fail. I'm not sure where all these people came from that thought Bertuzzi was going to put up 60+ points this season while also terrorizing the ice and enforcing when May isn't in the lineup. Do you guys actually watch hockey or is internet trolling your main pastime? Realistically the guy will probably put up about 40 points this season, get over it.

Bertuzzi is working harder than I would have gussed when the season started, if he popped in 2-3 more goals at this point people would be all over his jock. My least favorite? Leino...good puck control, but absolutely DEFINES soft-euro at this point. This guy makes Filpulla look like the hulk. Has a game passed this season where Leino hasn't been destroyed by a highlight reel check?

Have to agree with the reasonable posters in this thread, Bertuzzi is not the problem on this team. Were you guys hoping that he'd make a good scapegoat because no one would stick up for him? I don't see anyone complaining about Cleary -2 last night, or Holmstrom being a one-trick pony who can't skate or backcheck or go into the corners anymore? And the suggestion that Abdelkader replace Bertuzzi on the first line is f'in ridiculous.
