Sportsnet: Hudler awarded 2 year deal 5m total; Still KHL bound
Mors replied to DatsyukownzU13's topic in General
Bye Hudler, good luck. -
Did I? I don't think I made any statements regarding Pyatt or Malhotra, I don't care if we sign them or not. I do care however about signing Williams again, I'd rather give the spot to someone from GR than waste any more time on this guy.
-
Insert unnecessary "I'm so calm about the situation" comment despite Holland offering a contract to Jason ******* Williams. Maybe next year we can resign Devereaux and trade to get Kopecky back.
-
This team allowed the 10th most goals against last season with 240 allowed...solve that problem and they wont have to worry about those 88 goals.
-
And Jason Williams is your offensive guy or your grinder? good luck with that in either role.
-
I seriously hope this is a ******* joke...no sense whatsoever in this. And no, we don't need ******* scoring depth. I don't know why people are so scared about lack of scoring on this team.
-
Ryan Oulahen: WEAKNESSES Limited offensive-upside ... Below-average size that might limit potential as a checker ... Doesn't make a physical impact ... Doesn't have a mean streak or a nasty side. Evan McGrath: WEAKNESSES Doesn't always compete at a high level, and is inconsistent as a result ... Needs to create more space for himself ... Not physical or aggressive ... Production has typically dropped in post-season ... Doesn't pay much attention to the defensive side of the game.
-
Let's hope this isn't true or Holland will have wasted a great opportunity for some new blood. We got rid of this guy for a reason.
-
Brutal...and probably true.
-
Fair enough, in either case I don't want Hudler back. This team should take this as an opportunity to replace a tiny little man with a player (or two) who brings something to the table we don't already have. Scoring goals has never been the problem.
-
I believe this is true, if Detroit and Hudler agree with the arbitration number...Hudler cannot be traded for 1 year afterwords. Hence, he needs to go...
-
Here's to hoping arbitration awards Hudler $4 million+ and he's gone.
-
I wish we had someone with these attributes closer to being in the actual Wings' lineup. He sounds like the type of player this team hasn't had in years.
-
$7 million per year? are you ******* kidding me? Maybe it would be different if he was excellent at his job...unfortunately that isn't the case.
-
Hudler and the league can both f*** off...DO NOT WANT Hudler for $3 million a year for 3+ years. Absolutely unnecessary signing with the amount of cap space this team has left.
-
They should just let this go already...we don't need to be paying what he wants this season.
-
Wow...Lang? I mean, I don't *hate* Lang, but the guy just got his Achilles tendon sliced.
-
One less for the speculation list...
-
I don't consider it much of a loss...we have plenty of offense and talent, this gives us some cap room to sign at least one "goon with occasional offensive upside" (pretty please?)
-
I want this guy on the 4th line ASAP " Strengths: Excellent fighter. Fearless style and works hard. Just enough skating and skill to be interesting. Weaknesses: Might not have the frame to play his style at the next level. Who'd have thought the toughest guy from the Dub in this year's draft would be from Southern California? The rugged style and fighting ability is the big draw here. But has just enough skating and skill to make for an intriguing middle round sleeper. Great on-ice work ethic. Is strong defensively and a decent penalty killer. Lots of improvement from September to March this season. I think there could be some hidden offensive upside. Even if his best case upside is only a 5-10 goal scorer in the NHL, with the defensive play, physical style, and willingness to drop the gloves, that could be a really valuable guy to have. Cya Huddles.

That's what I thought, nothing against Oulahen, just sayin'...Datsyuk can throw a mean hit when he wants to, but that doesn't mean I want to see our #1 feeling like he has to be the one to do it
