I've always been negative towards other fans. I don't go out and try to start fights and dump beers on people, but I'm still not interested in consorting with them. Maybe it's the years of living in enemy territory...
-
I was hoping we'd at least get the Ducks trolls out of the way before the Hawks bandwagon rolled in...oh well.
-
Holy s***balls....did not see this coming at all. Caps fans at my office are going to kill themselves.

Laughable at best. Maybe you should be a professional clown, comparing what is undeniably the dirtiest bunch of scumbags in the league (according to just about every fan in the NHL, and apparently the players themselves selecting your precious Pronger as "Dirtiest" player in the NHL) to the Red Wings, the least penalized, least fighting team in the league led by the repeat Lady Byng winner. Do you actually think before you post? I just love the fact that somehow the Red Wings are now the "dirty cheaters" and Anaheim is just a hardworking skill team who isn't being given the proper respect and is being falsely accused of goon tactics. Classic.

I actually thought Holmstrom had a strong game last night, he was consistently forechecking hard and going into the corners...
-
Do you honestly think that's the way the league intended that rule to work? All rules are off after the clock expires?
-
I'm amazed you're still hanging around here pretending to be a Wings' fan. A cheapshot to the head of a skill player is an intent to injure, there's no "intent to hurt" in hockey, you're just playing with words.
-
This definitely applies and if the NHL had any modicum of professionalism in terms of officiating at least one if not two Ducks' players would be handed Game 7 suspensions. I still think it's highly unlikely the NHL has the balls to do it though...
-
No chance of the league suspending the Ducks' precious Niedermayer for even 1 game despite the overwhelming evidence that this is clearly an "intent to injure" type of play that is supposedly being "rooted out" by the league.
-
Niedermayer is a f***in scumbag

No shock here

TIME TO FINISH THEM OFF

Holland will if he can, he's not going to let someone as skilled as Hossa walk after he came in and fit perfectly in the system. I could definitely see him letting go of several people to secure the core elements of two incredible lines.

Abdelkader with an assist and +1 to go with 10 hits in 6:30 of ice time. He'll do I guess

Red Wings' Chelios owes $78k in back taxes Nothing of major importance, but it's a slow news day

VICTORY

I know I've started a panic with one of these threads before, but any ideas why Game 5 isn't on VS or NBC? I checked my Center Ice last night and it's gone from the channel listing...currently it's looking like no national coverage for this game on Sunday?
-
Datsyuk draws a lot of attention from the opposing team, which in turn creates opportunities for other players who aren't being covered as closely. It's not like Datysuk is out there doing nothing every night...
-
I think I'd rather continue to see the Wings' smoke Hiller than go up against the Michelin Manâ„¢ with his epic padding for the rest of the series.
-
What is this trouble they speak of? And I second the notion, there's this guy named Franzen who is consistently awesome in the playoffs, maybe someday the rest of the league and media will find out about him.

We don't seem to be having a lot of luck with our non-fighters getting into fights these days. Although I'm not really a fan of Kopecky's work in general, I still wish him the best in his recovery
-
His highness contributed to a dirty play? Oh noes! it must have been some sort of conspiracy, somehow Crosby is responsible.
-
It's not listed on the Center Ice schedule: Link is a PDF: http://www.indemand.com/sports/nhl/nhl_sch...090430124553815

Um, I said I checked my Center Ice and it's no longer listed in the channel guide. It's already been replaced with the MLB Innings package. Since the game is on the NHL Network, it wouldn't have been on CI even if it was still active in my area, which it isn't.

Momentum and crowd energy have often changed after a winning fight for the losing team, that's why these guys try to start a fight and give their team a jump...
