As a resident of Maryland, I only support the Capitals making it to the playoffs if it's in order for the Wings sweep them right back out I have to take a lot of s*** from Caps fans who believe all Wings' fans are bandwagoners, even after the last 15+ years I've spent following them.

All I can say about this one...I HOPE Babcock learned from his mistake last game and Downey WILL be in the lineup for some retribution.

Normally I'm pretty respectful of Babcock and his decisions but...Downey...healthy scratch...Blues? Of all the games this one seemed obvious from just looking at the schedule, blues tend to goon it up.

WHY IS THIS STILL BEING DEBATED? ... Honestly this is ridiculous...Minnesota didn't complain about the move AT ALL during the game, they get destroyed 5-0, and then after the fact their coach complains? ARE YOU SUPRISED? The other thread really should have settled this. This move isn't new, if you've been watching hockey for more than the past 2 years then this really shouldn't surprise you at all, it's been done, it happens, there was no injury. GET OVER IT.

Wow, some people around here must be new to hockey...I've seen Hasek pull this exact move ATLEAST 10 times throughout his career, and he's not the only goaltender who is willing to challenge like that . As Ken Daniels mentioned, I've never seen a penalty called on a play like this, it just happened to be flashier this time because Gabroik went airborne. Either way...OMG HE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED! WHAT A DIRTY PLAY! SUSPEND HASEK!. Maybe you're watching the wrong sport

I still like Schneider, it's a s***ty situation for him...especially with Neidermayer's ridiculous behavior (Don't need to get into an argument, just my opinion, but I think randomly deciding to rejoin the team 4 months late shows a lack of class...)

Not the best goal evar, but still a very solid goal for Kopecky....I've been irritated with this guy a lot lately, but he's getting better.

The commentators were jerkoffs, even my girlfriend who had earlier been defending them by telling me I was just a Red Wings homer had to laugh at some of the s*** coming outta these guys mouths... Also, Downey rocks...good energy, good sportsmanship, all around glad to have him on the team.

It seems like Drake has more of a potential role on the PK than Downey ever will, but at the same time we already have some of the best PK guys around...I'd rather play Downey based on the other factors. Oh, and Drake's -6 doesn't help either.

I'd rather see more Downey and less Drake at this point, at least until Drake gets the visor off...right now he isn't doing anything.
