Not sure what Ponikarovsky could possibly bring to the Wings, we've already got one Bertuzzi. Another big guy that doesn't hit, not at all what the Wings need right now.

Do the Wings even make the playoffs last season without Bertuzzi single-handedly winning a stretch of several games when everyone else was injured or slumping? Without those 6-8 points the answer could easily be no.

It saddens me that Quenneville was finally successful, least favorite coach in the NHL by far.

Isn't Rafalski a one-dimensional player? He certainly doesn't play defense. How about Ericsson, zero dimensions? If you want Lilja back, just say it, I don't think you need an essay to justify your viewpoint that we don't need any tough defensemen.

Awesome, sounds like the perfect 6th defensemen to me. We pay Lidstrom and Rafalski $12 million+ to be soft and use their brains, it'd be nice to have a guy with a different purpose.

Hopefully we'll hear that this deal is sealed by the end of the week.

All I know is that Cleary better have a beastly season or there will be no excuses at this time next year.

Really dont understand why people are fixated on signing that ***** Tanguay, aside from being an ex-Avs ******, he made $2.5 million last season and put up 37 points. What a bargain?

As much as I dislike the Flyers and pretty much all of the fans that come along with Philadelphia teams, I absolutely cannot root for the Blackhawks knowing how much s*** their fans talk about Detroit and the Wings, pretty much 24/7 even when they're not playing each other. Here's hoping for a Flyers comeback.

I think the idea that this is "hate" stems from the many posts that try to discount Bertuzzi's scoring and contribution. It's always "well he got 12 points in the playoffs, but those were just redirects" or "those points were caused by someone else' effort" as if anyone in the same position would have done the same. If people want to pretend that you could stick Williams on the 2nd line with Franzen and Zetterberg and he'd put up the same totals as Bert, they can, but that's delusional and usually comes down to someone having a personal problem with Bertuzzi being on the team that they're dancing around.
