I agree about the double-standards for athletes and celebrities, my only point in making that post is that both teams have a player who is trying to move on with his life after doing something widely perceived as wrong. You are right though, I've grown to like Bertuzzi (in this price range ) but if he wasn't on the Wings I doubt I'd feel the same way.

Dany Heatley killed someone and admitted to drinking beforehand, and still only got 3 years probation. I'd imagine you might have a different view of the guy if he wasn't playing on your team.

They're bitter and jealous because the Red Wings have excellent owners and management, along with superior coaches and scouts.

I was really expecting to see Datsyuk's "steal and goal" against Nashville, this was a vastly more interesting and skillful play than the example they're using. Edited with video just because I wanted to see it again

"Make-up" calls shouldn't exist in a professional league. Bad calls are one thing, but it's even more suspicious when all the teams come out even

Two diving penalties against Montreal in the span of 3 minutes...seems...odd to say the least.

I always liked Schneider, I think they're very similar players (offensive talent over defensive responsibility). I just wish Rafalski wasn't such a ***** in the corners, he's constantly out-muscled, whereas Schneider was (at the time) capable of playing with a chip on his shoulder.

I could see it being a concussion, he certainly looked confused out there yesterday, as in he literally didn't know where to go with the puck

It's an incredible conflict of interest, and it reeks of desperation from the league to keep a team where a team has no business(literally) being.

Yea I'm shocked and at the same time not surprised they just overruled a call on the ice for no goal and let the Pens have it anyway...NHL really is bushleague.

Hey, Adrian Aucoin has only played for 6 different NHL teams and won 0 cups...that's a good position to be in when you're talking s*** about one of the greatest defenseman to ever play the game

Ovechkin is goofy, I don't know if he even realizes some of the dumb s*** he does. This, along with the near-decapitation on the golf cart, and the video of him doing 160+ in his benz on 495...he just might not be that bright

When he's flailing around on the ice clutching his face because someone brushed up against him...it's because he's too big to get up? totally logical. People need to take off the homer glasses and just admit it. I'm not questioning his skills, but he embellishes contact frequently.

Franzen is a diver, plain and simple. He's a highly skilled player and a clutch scorer, but his embellishments are kinda ridiculous for a guy his size which I find disappointing.

Someone better wake him up and let him know the playoffs started without him...he's been floating out there.
