He certainly was the closest thing that we have had with a Scott Stevens like grit. He laid out a ton of guys with mean ripping hip checks. I wonder how many interference calls he would get in today's NHL? I think it is fair to say that if Vladdy was still a Wing, we would likely have won another cup. He was such a difference maker. There hasn't been a player like Konstantinov since. Mean, gritty, skilled, strong on the puck but he wasn't dirty. He could hound you closer than your own shadow and wear you out. Man I miss watching him.

I guess it sends a better message to your team than "when they choose to play like that, there is no team in the league that can beat them". Boy, I bet he wised he was never quoted on that!

When its all said and done, these playoffs will have a huge factor on Hossa. I think he will continue to be a beast and play like he has to carry the team on his back. Ozzy, when all said and done should have the pundits eating Bernie! I wonder what people would be saying if Ozzy had a carrer year after winning last year? I think that could be a curse, a little adversity never hurt this team. Well, actually, it did in 95, but never the less.......I love playing best of 5's!!!

I find it very interesting that there are many commentators that are picking the Jackets to make the surprise upset. I would love to put them away in 4 although I'm sure that WILL NOT happen. I also find it very interesting that when you listen to some of the pundits, they will discribe the sharks as being very Red Wing like, but then talk about how we can't do it. The team is so deep that it is easy to over look or not mention our stars. Being the underdog is always a good option, but the dressing room will never feel like they are the underdog. I wonder what people would be saying if Osgood had numbers like last year?

Now for some advice that will actually help you. The people mover is Colman Young's collasal failure. It is a good option to use if you want to get from Greektown to the game, but I don't know any of the logistics of parking at the casino as I've been out of the area for about 10 years. It is very limited where it will take you to/from. There is plenty of parking with safe access in and around the Joe. Most park at Cobo Hall's parking garage, but there are a handful of lots available. I would consider taking some time before the game to drive around as it can be confusing with the riverside drive/cobo/the rencen and Jefferson. Get lost when your not stressed about getting into your seats on time. You can easily take I 75 or 94 down to the lodge freeway. If you take 75-375 down to Jefferson, it will be really confusing. The lodge will "dump" you right out where you need to be. If you want to eat/park/shuttle from Hockey town cafe, you can take 75 to Mack, hang a left on 75 and Hockeytown cafe will be on your right about 1 mile or so. you can't miss it. THis is great. Man Toronto in 1918! AHA Ah ha ha Think about this people; When the Jackets come to play the WIngs, they bring it all to the table. I don't think that there is a playoff button, but what I do know is that the Wings do have deperation in the playoffs that they lack in the regular season, especially against teams they may not respect as much as Columbus. THe Jackets have yet to see a Wings team with 60 minutes. GO WINGS!!!

Best matchup we could have asked for IMO!!! 100000X better than the surging Ducks in the first round. This makes it great for us to watch the Sharks and Ducks beat the s*** out of each other. Mason as a rookie is their biggest problem. If we get to him early, what does he have to come back? This gives the Wings an opportunity to find their A game. One thing for sure is Hitch will have these guys ready. I'm not so sure about the Wings . If the Jackets have any injuries they are screwed. Hopefully, we find ourselves. We've looked lost all year.
