You are ignorant because you don't understand the effects of a traumatic brain injury. You can't play if the doctor doesn't think that it is in the best interest of the athelete. His life is worth much more than a trophy. If he plays too early and ends up with chronic daily disabling headaches, concentration deficits, impulsivity and memory disturbances he won't be much good to anyone. This isn't an ankle sprain.

We have two problems IMO. Number one, Turco is playing the puck like a monster and adding a third D. Both their goals were directly the result of his quick outlet passes. The second is their checking line domination. They may not put the numbers up, but they are doing a great job keeping the boys to the outside and decreasing the amount of high percentage opportunities.

Bruce MacLeod; Sorry that wasn't clear, but he takes a whole article to make a point that we only have one line of scoring, but then adds that Datsuk and Zets are unstoppable together. If that is the case, there is no point to the article because no one is able to stop them.

Great idea! BUT; I don't think Bettman would want to do this for perception. I think he would want to isolate the NHL from other "leagues" including the collegite level. But, I think it is a phenomenal idea.

Really, Why care? Why should we care? In a non salary cap era, you could argue depth, but who cares? Everyone (most) that plays for this organization knows how good they have it here and love the time spent with Detroit. I'm sure that Schneider is pissed, but screw him. When he signed with another team, he evidently didn't think that Detroit could ever win, or he wanted to be back in California for the long haul. Either way, we have a 2-0 lead in the conference finals. Who cares about former players that have left for greener pastures.

An MRA wouldn't be needed unless there was concern for a vertebral artery dissection. But you are right he would have had a CT or MRI days ago.
