Detroit isn't that great at Drafting

You just made me read that and waste a piece of my life that I will never get back. Faulty logic, bad statistics and lack of knowledge of trading 1st RDP's! I hope you're happy!

    San Jose Sharks in trouble...

Thats one of the funniest things I've read on here in a long time!!! Sad, true and hilarious! Anyway, who the hell is going to want to inherit those kind of salaries?

    New Stadium Ideas

Personally, I like what you are doing here, but the new area should pay homage to the Olympia and not emulate it. I think they should get proposals from the architectural firm that designed Nationwide arena.

    boo hossa?

As a rule, I don't attack people on the internet, but you are an idiot! Why would you boo him? Because he didn't sign a contract that offered him way less than fair market value for what he is worth? Stupid! Would you take a job that you are best qualified making minimum wage if you could do the same job making 5 times as much? Mind you, there are very few people around that can do that job as well as you. If you took a job working for a family member, but moved on when a better offer came your way, would your family not invite you around for holidays? Hossa's departure had nothing to do with loyalty or dedication but only his financial security. We are not allowed to offer him what we have in our pockets. The fact that he came here for one year to play for a reduced salary speaks volumes about his view of the Wings and the reputation of this organization. Once the reality of life sets upon you, you'll realize what a dumb statement this is.

Are you content with Z and Franzen?

I did. When I did, I pretty much knew that he wouldn't be on the team next season, but what I didn't know is that we would lose in the SCF. I was betting on us winning and that jersey reflecting our championship and the whole story. O Well! I pray next year we stay healthy, then I think we are poised to reach the big prize with Z, Dats and Franzen than any other team. I'm wondering if we run out of gas and how that will reflect on our season. I think our biggest issue isn't the players on the ice, but our defensive coordinator.

    OFFICIAL: 12y, $62.4m makes Hossa a 'Hawk

Well too long of a deal IMO, but this is Great for Chicago. They still need to address their biggest issue and that is their blue line. THey should have gotten Ohlund and they would be pretty solid. Additionally, if they would have landed a solid D man like Ohlund, they should get rid of Campbell and get a real Defensemen. That is a potential SCC! Hawks 2011 or 12? It was good while it lasted!

    Russia (Olympics)

The talent for this team is unbelievable. THe question like every Russian team for the past few decades is will they be able to come together and play as a team. If they can do that they certainly have a huge chance for gold. I can't wait for the Olympics!

If we don't shift the pressure and stop the offsides, were done. We need a perfect period!

Dallas Stars hire Marc Crawford as head coach

Crawford wouldn't have gotten them ready with all of the injuries they had. Put Crawford in last year and I ensure the Stars would have never been in the hunt. Yes they had a terrible start with all of the controversy with Avery, but they did ultimately have a bit of a push.

You didn't bring it up, but you certainly were happy to carry the torch! Since this is the Homer series; may the home team win!

    Barry on ESPN

I really believe he is over that. He is now too concerned with hating Tampa Bay. Being passed up for the greatest coach of all time is alot different than being fired from an NHL team. That one will stick for a long long time!

    Hossa Mojo for game 6

I have an instinctual feeling that he will not only have a big role in Tuesday's game, but will score. GO HOSSA!!!!!!!!

    Poor Poor NHL ratings

Stanley Cup Finals ratings drop slightly Posted by George James Malik June 01, 2009 08:13AM The Associated Press reports that the Red Wings and Penguins haven't drawn all that well for NBC: May 31, Associated Press: American television ratings for Game 1 of the Red Wings-Penguins Stanley Cup final rematch were down from last year's levels. The NBC telecast drew a 2.6 rating and a 5 share. That's compared with a four-game NBC average of a 3.2 rating and a 6 share one year ago. Detroit beat Pittsburgh 3-1 in Saturday night's Game 1 and won the Cup over the Pens in six games in 2008. The first Cup final game on NBC last year - a Pittsburgh win in Game 3 - earned a 2.8 U.S. rating. The rating is the percentage watching a program among homes with televisions, and the share is the percentage tuned into the broadcast among those households with TVs on at the time.
