Helm has looked solid in every position. I don't know how he wasn't the MVP of the AHL. He is a huge part of the sucess of the team this postseason. How couldn't anyone be impressed with this guy? The PK shift against Chicago was one of the most impressive shifts I've seen in years! Better than Z's shift last year against Crosby (but not as important).

You know, most of my distaste for Crosby has come from watching his diving in early years and his terrible post game discussions last year. IMO, I didn't mind this conference at all. In fact, I thought he "man up'd" so to speak. Very poignant and direct. If I was him, I probably would have chopped at Maltby as well, in fact the direct discussion without skirting the issue give me a new found quasi-admiration for him.

My only concern with this series is our health. How do you think the Pens would hold up if Gonchar was out and Malkin was out? How do you think the Pens "experience" matches up with the Wings experience? Don't be brainwashed by all of the pundits predicting their experience will pull them thru the series. I fully expect Malkin to have a much better series than last year. Crosby will likely have about the same, maybe slightly better. The coaching is MUCH better. You may have had more of a chance if you had a real coach on the bench last year. But he's no Bowman. Face it, head to head healthy to healty the Wings are much much more dominant. IMO, the outcome of this series will be health. At least with you, we can debate this. My biggest fear is Malkin. If you guys win, he'll get the Con Smyth.

If Lilja would have been on the ice last night instead of Lebda, he would have played Kane and not let him score. If we don't punish the man with the puck rushing into our zone we're toast. Malkin, Crosby and Stall can blow by our defenders and put on past Osgood. We need to get Malkin off of his game like last year. Over all we have done a fantastic job against Kane, Towes, Getzlaf (whom I think is as good as Malkin), Perry and Nash.
