THANKS MATT!!! I still have the 2013 Round 1 background hanging around on one of my computers.

I'm planning on going to Hockeyfest next Sunday and it's the first time I'll be attending the event, so I just have a few questions. Is there a schedule of what times when the players will be there to sign stuff? What can I bring in that can be signed? Can I pick up the tickets at the box office or do I need to order them online? Do I have to be there at a certain time to tour the locker room or do they have tours through out the day as I probably won't be able to get there until around noon. I usually park on the Cobo roof when I go to the games. Will that still be open or is there a better spot to park at (yeah I would not like to pay for parking for a non game event). Thanks for any input. I've been a member on this site since 98 (the older members will remember the great forum board crash of 2002) and would look forward to meeting any members that are going.

So sorry to hear of your loss roboturner. I have always liked Cleary as person and as a player when he was an NHL caliber player. His comeback is a story within itself. His 13-14 signing created cap issues though and the 14-15 signing created roster spot problems. I'd be more than happy if he signed a 2 way deal that doesn't create cap hit issues and he can play in GR and mentor the up and coming Griffs. I was also pissed off about the Quincy signing as well for 14-15 season. Obviously that signing worked out a little bit better looking back though. I'm not going to look for the thread about the Cleary 14-15 signing but I recall a post in which somebody cancelled their season tickets because they were so pissed off about the Cleary/Quincy signings.

Wow. This guy just won't go away. I didn't even go to a game last season because of the Wings signing Cleary. Don't have a choice this season since it's the last season at the Joe.

I was kind of confused when I read of his signing, but after reading through this thread, this signing is starting to make more sense now. I’m hoping this results into Cleary not being signed and maybe going into some management position to keep him off the roster.

Potentially good new. Blashill is a good coach but it doesn't hurt having veteran NHL coaches around him.

I think they are afraid that Babs wants Cleary to sign with the Leafs.

I have to say that JD really hurt Mantha's trade value when he publicly stated that he was disappointed with his performance. Although, if Mantha's last season with Griffs had been much better, this wouldn't be a conversation. I'm in agreement that Mantha needs another full training camp and season with the Griffs before the Wings give up on him.

I understand the "gentlemen" agreement. After Cleary's performance last season, it's quite obvious that this guy just wants another paycheck and doesn't care about the development of the team. There is no way that he could contribute better than the players that are out of waiver options. Enough is enough.

I think the Cleary/Leafs Photoshop was done in the Babcock signing with the Leafs thread.

If he want's to keep playing hockey, I can't blame him. Sign him to an AHL contract so that he can mentor the boys up there and possibly ready him for a coaching gig.. Signing him to an NHL contract is going to waste the same roster spot that he wasted last season and the Wings are going to lose another up and coming talent through waivers in order to keep Cleary.

A little off topic but I went to my first Walleye game tonight. OMG I will never go to another again. I kind of felt that I was sitting with fans that came out of the Deliverance. No smoking sections are just beyond stupid. Yeah when I tell you there are no smoking sections, it means if you want to smoke, you need to exit the building and buy another ticket to come back in. On topic, looking to grab a couple tickets for the next GR game. Do they have the same smoking policies as they Walleye?

And to think of all of those kids in their Crosby jerseys with puffy red eyes and runny noses after crying their eyes out after watching their Pens getting eliminated. I’m sure one of those kid’s name is Gary.

It almost looks like everyone in the lower bowl is wearing a home jersey. Very cool looking though.
