ABSOLUTE TRUTH!

Heading into 2024, it's imperative to unload atleast 2 D, preferably Holl and Petry and if possible Chiarot. At forward, trade Fabbri & Copp. Fabbri to clear cap space, Copp to get rid of an underperforming player and open a roster spot. UFAs, they need to let Perron, Reimer and Ghost go. Too old, too old, replaceable internally. UFAs, consider keeping Fischer and Sprong if the cap and term make sense... Kane should be a priority, so much so, I'd over pay slightly. In net we need to trade for an upgrade, send Husso or Lyon back as part of the return to clear a spot. In UFA consider Hanafin and or Pesce. Play some the kids or use them as trade assets to get early/mid 20s higher end players (quality over quantity).

After this 2 week stretch, unless something really changes; Kane is gone, Gone, GONE.

Somethings going on that we don't know about.... that's the only explanation. -

What's that... not watching -
This SHOULD but WON'T happen.

We like our team...

Lol Petry is minus 0.75 per minute.... WHY isn't this guy riding a bus in Toledo? I don't give a F that his father played for the Tigers 50 years ago or whatever. Waive these pricks to Grand Rapids and bring up a couple of young guys.
-
I hope Yzerman learned a bit of a lesson a number of his UFA contracts have been bad, Copp & Holl being the worse IMO.
-
Doesn't that seem ironically stupid? Guys stashed on LTIR too hurt to play game 82, but can play in the playoffs... waiver claims; hard no.
-
Someone's gotta want those guys... unlikely

We've lost our captain/1C and worn our goalie into the ground. At the deadline we should have upgraded our backup... that's the only area we should have addressed. The idea was clearly try and improve, play important games down the stretch and develop the core.

This team has rediscovered its December form...

We might be... we might be the MN Wild... or less likely we might be a cup contender.

The lack of activity has made people more nuts than usual.

He's doing nothing or something big... no in-between.

Enough talk about Yursak.
-
It's both impressive and frustrating that Yzerman keeps such a tight lid on what's happening in the front office.

I'd be extatic, depending on the return to ANA.

Double shifting Compher as a major F.U. to Sid.

With so many dead-end vets that are clinging to roster spots we're not a young team... next season Perron and Fabbri atleast should be out and replaced internally with ELCs, when those bottom/middle 6 guys start demanding high dollars swap them out for new ELCs. You have to pay and hold your core and turn over middle of the lineup guys to manage the cap. Having a bunch of high dollar mid players is so 2010s Ken Holland. Someone mentioned the churn of these types of guys in Chicago during their run... Stan Bowman did a fantastic job of cutting middling guys loose when they'd cripple his cap.
-
Agreed, I'm terrified we'll extend Perron. He's a glue guy, add him to the coaching staff but don't tie up cap and a roster spot on aguy who's showing signs of decline year over year.
-
Good proposal with Gudas for Holl, the rationale is solid... wish I'd have thought of that a few days ago... Nor a fan of the 2nd proposal, I'd be keeping all my 1st rounders incase an Elias Petterson offersheet was possible.
-
4-3 we get a single point.

That's from 2005 dude... 19 years ago :-/
