Yea, I get it... but guys can be moved, it's not an issue... Tampa moved far worse contracts and players off their books in recent years.

If you could trade Holl to Anaheim for Gudas it costs you an extra 600k in salary. Anaheim would gain draft/prospect assets and an NHL defenseman to put in the ice.

I'd have not reached into the BCHL for Cholo, that was a low percentage pick. I'm sure there were better picks made 5-10 spots after him, but I can't be bothered to look. Rasmussen is a close 2nd, he was a reach at 9 but that's what you get when you have a dinosaur GM.

Remember there were goofs here who defended and "explained" how Zadina was actually real good and about to "break-out".... Then there's the few vindicated souls who knew all along.

Adding Durzi or Andresson would be an upgrade now and for the medium term, it goes without saying we want to dump 2 of Holl, Matta, Petry and not resign GhostBear.
