This team needs a new coach, at the very least 2 new assistant coaches next year... one of which with NHL experience *incase* we heed an interim coach before season's end.

We have a lot of bad contracts on this team... slight to modest to big overpays on mediocre (or worse) players. Yzerman spent years getting rid of contracts like that only to sign his own. Thankfully most are short term but that Copp contract, Holl for 3 years, Fabbri should be moved and replaced by Berger, cheaper lateral move... these are sorts of players you move on from and let someone else pay.

We don't know that we are keeping all three, precisely because Husso being injured means that roster spot is a non-issue. We'll only know once Husso comes back, probably after a game or two to check his health status.

Hanafin is a top 4 now and will be for a while at age 26, Lindholm would make us deep down the middle and at 29 he's got lots of runway ahead.

Has ASP made Edvinsson a trade assist, has Trey made Cossa a trade asset? I'm dreaming of Hanafin and Lindholm.

I agree, he'll be gone in a couple of seasons; he should be gone at the end of this season.

I put them with Compher as a 1st line, then put Sprong, Larkin and Raymond as our 2nd line... playing roughly equal time.

This is a must win game. Not only that, it's a statement game... they need to play a full 60, go up early and don't let up.

The Leafs just put Samsonov on waivers, I'd strongly consider claiming him and waiving Reimer. He's had a rough season but he's younger and more likely to rebound (forgive the pun) -

I acknowledge all of that, I get it... but this isn't new... it's been a trend since his rookie season. When was the last reverse hit you remember seeing? I hope he's more Pronger that Phaneuf but the jury is still out.
