I blame the CHL and that stupid agreement. It's going to kill their league over time... players will opt to go elsewhere to avoid this very situation.

I'm really not a fan of how we've gummed up the roster with middling overpaid vets who's contracts (not play) blocks Berg, Elmer, and Simon. This is my first major disagreement with the Yzerplan.

Raymond has another down year and is on the trade bait board near the deadline, is traded in the off season. The only recent signing on D we want to keep is Ghost, but we can't afford him. Debrincat busts hard 15 goals, 3rd liner by seasons end. Lombardi plays 40 games on the 2nd line. Cossa leads the AHL in wins and save %. Wallinder is the go to D call up from the Griffins.

Danielson needs to be in our lineup for a 9 game look... he's fantastic! Along with a mostly AHL squad they gave a mostly NHL Leafs lineup a good run.

Maybe I'm reading too much into preseason action... BUT I think you're onto something here. The system and play looks "tight" I think the boys could really surprise. I'm also hoping some younger guys get meaningful time in the NHL like Soda, Kasper, etc

I'm ok with this but it's never going to happen. That CHL agreement needs to change; it's hurting player development and killing that league as guys opt for other leagues.

Bultman does at times come off as arrogant... like a fan who happened to get behind the veil and likes to flaunt his minor insiderness. He does however produce some nice articles on the athletic... but his takes are conservatively team friendly so not to lose his inside track. -

100% he drafted Zadina on hype and media draft rankings. I believe they didn't do enough scouting on him assuming he'd be off the board.

Lol Zadina was none of those things... but if you get a middle 6 forward from a 1OA, that is a bust relative to draft position. That said still a valuable player unlike Zagina.

I can't see why the Rags would trade Laff, especially for a pittance. He's not lived up to the hyped (yet atleast) but he's a legitimate top 9 likely top 6 forward. If he figures it out then yes a 1st line star, if not he's a perfectly serviceable forward.
