Lol Zadina was none of those things... but if you get a middle 6 forward from a 1OA, that is a bust relative to draft position. That said still a valuable player unlike Zagina.

I can't see why the Rags would trade Laff, especially for a pittance. He's not lived up to the hyped (yet atleast) but he's a legitimate top 9 likely top 6 forward. If he figures it out then yes a 1st line star, if not he's a perfectly serviceable forward.

I saw only regression with Raymond... foot speed is a major issue as is grit/physicality.

Zadina gets you a 4th round pick at best... his contract is the only thing of value associated with him. Raymond = Tatar

Agreed, that BOS 1st shouldn't be traded until you know where it will fall. The Bruins are always at risk of falling off a cliff, next year they are capped out, older, and losing UFAs. That pick could be a top 5 pick in 2025... until you get a solid feel on the status of that pick hold on to it.

And I was 100% correct. As I said at the time, I watched him play live in the Q; the signs were there. I'm convinced the Wings didn't scout him throughly enough, thinking he'd be off the board and made the TSN rankings pick, rather than go with the player(s) they had throughly scouted. Man don't contaminate Kasper with Zadina's ick.

We didn't WANT him to fail we recognized he WAS/IS failing. Please don't mistake the two they are not the same.
