I think this has a lot to do with the lack of vaccination... I think he wanted to make that point and the COVID protocol is only furthering the point. We're much better when he plays... that contract has to have a vaccination clause though, enough of this not playing in Canada. -

I watch the games and I don't see what these stats apparently capture... lots of bad passes, shots that miss the net by a country mile, poor decision making under the slightest pressure. He's a 3rd liner at best IMHO.

True... what we need is a Buffalo/Eichel situation on a Western conference team, that wants to ship the player to the Eastern conference so Steven can pounce.

He had capable wingers at times last year... and was a dud... it is a resurgence. Hopefully it lasts.

I'm not talking about an elite 1C, but a platoon 1C to complement Larkin. I'm pleasantly surprised with his resurgence... if we had another one of him or even a Larkin-light we'd be in good shape at C. Then the rest of our centers could fight for 3rd and 4th line duty or spots on the wing.

I think when Vrana gets back into the line up in Jan/Feb and looks up to speed... Zadina (and is dwindling "potential") and picks/prospects will be packaged for a 1a/1b Center.

The refs are awful, seem to be cutting the Canadiens slack because their own player launched Larkin into Allen and he got hurt. Lots of no calls on Montreal.
