A friend of mine that's a Toronto fan, was theorizing: Bert and the 22nd pick for Morgan Reilly Not a trade I'd make personally. ____________ I hope we target the 9th overall pick from Vancouver... I think it could be had for 22 and cap relief. That way we can get our skater and goalie at 6 and 9. Thoughts?

Can anyone shed light on why Petruzzelli is walking? Seems odd, since he's developing reasonably well and we have no other notable prospects at that position... the player and team seem like a match made in hockey heaven.

That's never getting you Eichel... Cholo has virtually no value, Zadina is a 3rd line winger, the picks aren't valuable enough for a franchise player. Zadina = Bust

Zadina is at best 3rd liner on a decent + team. But in fairness to him our dolt of a coach is trying to make him a 200ft player... the one assest Zadina has is his shot... when he's not scoring goals he's a replacement level player. If we want anything noteworthy out of him we should deploy him like Montreal deploys Caulfield as an offense first shooter with linemates and D to make up for the defensive coverage. And yes Zadina has been/is a bust thus far.

Reinhardt is another true 2C, low end 1C in a pinch BUT if we have both Larkin and Reinhardt we have quantity not quality as it relates to the top 6 centers on this team... where at the moment we have neither quantity or quality. Rolling Reinhardt, Larkin, Rasmussen and Veleno as your centers is a strong group overall, despite no superstar among the bunch.

It's an interesting trade scenario... adds a 1A center to our 1B/2A, gets value for a 3rd line winger who may still be perceived to have upside.

RW looks very iffy... a couple of 2nd/3rd line tweeners (Fabri and Zadina) one with injury history and two 3rd/4th line tweeners (Smith and Erne). By tweener I mean they play up the lineup on a poor team... see Red Wings. Breggren could be anything at point... it's too early.
