    We need lottery luck and a couple of can't miss prospects... not droppers Zadina, Veleno or reachers Seider. Project them however you want... they're not on the wings and won't be big time players until 2021 or later. A top flight prospect could improve this team the October after he's drafted and we desperately need that to allow our other prospects to ripen naturally.

    Mercifully they are gone at seasons end. Hicketts should really play ahead of either of them. I think Steve will clear house this summer... I'd not be surprised to see a few Red Wings whitness relocated to Robidas Island.

    Just took a look at the standings... presently NJ has the best odds at #1, early I know but! The NHL needs to put a cap on #1 picks and or top end drafting...

    Good point. But we need help.... Howard would be a top notch backup at this point... Bernier isn't an NHL caliber player so the need is obvious.

    I think Jimmy would be a fine goalie on a good team... For example Leafs fans (and media) blabber on about Andersson, to my eye he's a younger version of Jimmy (if not worse). He lets in horrendous goals and terrible times.

    Maybe they are holding Seider back for the season so he can win the Calder next season breaking the drought. Look on the bright side, we're both still right about Zadina being a dumpster fire

    This season... long stretches without goals, goals in bunches but in meaningless ways like add-on goals, empty netters, or goals in 6-1 type losses. Long term ceiling underwhelming middle 6 winger, floor KHL.

    Neither player is/was worthy of their draft position... if we'd have snagged Zadina as a 2nd rounder and he looked this terrible/lost/over matched it would sting a bit. But to wiff this bad at #6 in s full on rebuild hurts A LOT!
