Let's package some seconds and make some noise!

Hahaha Stevie threw a hand grenade into LGW. Kudos to the dude who called this a few days ago.

We're having this conversation today, not a year from now... the theme I was responding to was 'why are people so interested/worried/etc about the 6th pick' I offered my reason for concern/interest and you've spent 3 or 4 posts trying to put words in my mouth, referring to things I'm not posting about and going on about hypothetical future scenarios... I'm having none of it... I'm sick of your BS.
-
Wouldn't a lackie be towing the company line and saying everything is fine, JUST FINE... People, myself included may not agree with you... It's no excuse to freak out and post a knee jerk attack. If you're so comfortable with your POV post accordingly but enough of the overly aggressive BS. (Thanks in advance) I don't think much of Zadina that's long discussed and settled... but some folks thought he'd make the team out of camp and score 20+ goals. That's a homerun... that's not what Zadina was year 1. I do ;-)
-
Calm down/grow up... did I say bust in my post? NO... was he a homerun NO, far from it... and I'm not on an island by myself here either.
-
I think this is a result of last 2 years of 1st round drafting... Ras is underwhelming and Zadina wasn't the homerun many expected, based on a his unsteady play in the A and NHL. I feel we can't have a miss or even a partial hit with this pick... personally I have little to no confidence in our last 2 top picks hence the hand wringing.
-
Not really Poink is decent 2nd/3rd pair guy, he's 23 and put points up and wasn't too bad defensively on a horrid Rangers team. The Jets have like 3 or 4 picks this entire draft so that 1st is huge for them. All for a guy whose had one foot out the door for 2 years.
-
Last year's "luck"... I surely hope that doesn't repeat itself. I think you're being overly positive :-(
-
I would too but they'd never take that I reckon.

At that price surely they have a contract extension already agreed on. -
Maybe we'll get lucky and Lassi will come through.
-
Would he ever slip to us early in the 2nd as a result?
-
Read the post... I said barely in a month, their isn't any exclusivity there. Man you really aren't to bright...
-
Lol you talked it through in typed form... but it was nice to document the exact moment when the last person got the reference. I've barely mentioned Zadina in a month. Maybe you should find a new axe to grind. I'm sure I'll be good for a month or two while you process that reference. Let me know when you understand.
-
Wow thanks for explaining the joke literally everyone already understood.
-
It's tangentially related to last year's pick actually.... I watched Zadina, didn't like what I saw at all. I think that was a miss, I've not been shy on that point as you know. Then I read (no first hand knowledge) about Podkolzin being boom or bust and think... it could be two misses at #6 in back to back years...
-
For the record.... I dont know much about many of the guys in our draft window this year... but the more I read on podkolzin the more I'm worried. I would not like that pick on that basis.

We'll be having this discussion about Zadina in 2-3 years... (Bear poked) -

Signing Karlsson for any longer than 4 years is lunacy. He's in a steep injury induced decline and that isn't likely to change. -

Those folks will likely move to Cali post retirement for the social services available that they didn't pay for during their working years. -

That's actually not a counter point but thanks for restating what I said.... I'd rather bury Daley/Erricsson and have an up and coming player in that roster spot... Assuming Cholo or some signee is deemed ready for primetime I hope the fact we have Daley and Ericsson at 3-4 million doesn't block those guys. Since that cap hit needs to be endured either way it should come at the cost of a year or a good young players career just to make a fringe vet feel good about finishing out in the NHL. -

I think you're right if you're suggesting Green can contribute and Daley can't. We need to bury Daley and Errorson. Unless its contrary to the CBA I'd be.fully prepared to send both to GR. They would clear waivers (if not all the better) and you have the best players playing on the big club. The cap wouldn't be a problem their replacements would be cheap ELCs and their salaries need to count either way. I really don't understand why this doesn't happen more often. -

If an extension was prenegotiated I'd trade Zadina and Green. I'm not high on Zadina (well documented) but you might be able to peddle him as an ELC replacement for Liane allowing them to trade Liane at some future point.
