I think this thread among others this season is a product of the eons between wings games... lets see the boys play already!

This is an impossible question to answer... however, the average hockey player on average would get hit considerably more often than the average football player in a given season. That's about all we can say conclusively.

Posted this in the last Osgood topic: why does this always happen when Osgood's name comes up??? lots of people blowing gaskets about how good/not good he is... I thought we all agreed last year he was a mediocre goalie who played for great teams and consequently has better numbers than other goalies of his ilk... such as Arthus Irbe, Dan Cloutier, Damian Rhodes, Ron Tugnutt, Steve Sheilds, Manny Fernendez, etc

I'm looking at Lower Level Center 121 | Row 12 cost $220 and what side of the area should I be on? Your help is greatly appreciated!!

While watching "The Open" on TSN here at home in Canada, they did an update. The report is that Babs expects Modano to be signed to a 2 year deal by tomorrow.

He will be a Hall of Famer, but I don't see him getting in 1st try unless its a weak class. I think the voters will keep in mind the fact his numbers were more a product of the teams he played on and not overwhelming stand out play on his part.

How is it exactly they could sent Huet to the KHL... If a player is under contract to an NHL team they have to fulfill the contract, would the same not apply in reverse? IE don't the Hawks have to live up to the contract they signed?

My guess is that Big E either plays well enough to be in the top 5 D or he becomes the 6/7 and one of the other kids steps up ie. Smith or Kindl.

This loyalty stuff is Hocum, hockey is a business... loyalty is why we have Draper still and may eat another year of Maltby two guys well past their best before dates.

I'm not a big Osgood fan by any means... BUT I see him playing more and better this year. I think he'll play 30ish games and he'll be far better than the last couple of regular seasons. I have no proof of this obviously, its a gut feeling. -

If we're going to move up, I think they should go for a big jump to the top 5... and the player I'd take is Brandon Gormley. He has been described as having a Lidstrom like skill set. Imagine a kid with all the tools learning from the master craftsman. Of course it won't happen... and if it did we'd likely have to give up the 1st and 2nd rounders we have plus a decent prospect like a Tatar or Kindl.
