I totally agree... he's said oddly dismissive, negative things at news conferences all year. I think its a ham fisted attempt at managing expectations but comes off as a lack of confidence. I'd like to see Lalonde go, but I doubt Yzerman fires him. Bring in Turk Gallant... he's just sitting at home in Summerside collecting cheques from the Rags.

It would be awesome if we could get a true starter in the off-season... use Lyon as the backup next season, then dove tail Cossa in as backup the following year, then transition to a 1A/1B scenario the following season, then finally transition to Cossa as starter in 3-4 seasons.

Agreed... I'd give him a game or 2 this year once we're out of it. Then starter in the AHL next year play 9 games, the transition.

I agree... you'd have to do a major edit to this team in order make it a successful/competitive playoff team. To fix what's broken will take more than trading for more of the same overpaid mediocre complementary pieces similar to what we already have.

The oversized Canadian goalie vs the undersized athletic American goalie... it's going to be interesting to see this play out. We're hopefully going to go from having no goalies to a Boston type situation with 2 guys battling for #1 status with no bad option.

Heading into 2024, it's imperative to unload atleast 2 D, preferably Holl and Petry and if possible Chiarot. At forward, trade Fabbri & Copp. Fabbri to clear cap space, Copp to get rid of an underperforming player and open a roster spot. UFAs, they need to let Perron, Reimer and Ghost go. Too old, too old, replaceable internally. UFAs, consider keeping Fischer and Sprong if the cap and term make sense... Kane should be a priority, so much so, I'd over pay slightly. In net we need to trade for an upgrade, send Husso or Lyon back as part of the return to clear a spot. In UFA consider Hanafin and or Pesce. Play some the kids or use them as trade assets to get early/mid 20s higher end players (quality over quantity).

After this 2 week stretch, unless something really changes; Kane is gone, Gone, GONE.

Somethings going on that we don't know about.... that's the only explanation.
