Ok, so people think I don't just rip on Kindl because I don't like him, it's the last couple shifts that drive me nuts. He just went to the boards too casually playing the puck, got his stick lifted and they threw a pass right to the slot. Luckily no one was there. The shift before he got outmuscled in front of the net, then threw a no look pass from the corner and turned the puck over again. That's what drives me nuts. If he keeps it up he's going to lose his spot to someone with less talent but who doesn't do stupid crap like that.

Ken has called some national games. Don't think they've involved the Wings though. Other broadcasters have called national games involving the team they do the local broadcast for, like Strader calling one for the Coyotes. But unlike Olczyk he manages to be professional and keep rampant homerism out of his broadcasting.
