ok, I've changed my tune. These announcers say nice things about the Wings but they're giant homers when it comes to what's actually going on in the game.

Helm hurt after throwing a hit. Sharks announcers quick to point out the the SJ player hopped right up and Helm is hurt.

great chances by the Wings. I thought Z had one there. Flip!!! and the color commentator is whining. Z was clearly circling to get back into the zone and ran into the SJ player. He's a genius if that's a planned pick.

two huge saves by Jimmy. And the inevitable calls by the refs because San Jose had a good scoring chance and didn't score. Interesting, so the Sharks player can put his stick horizontal to the ice to hook Abby, which is a textbook hooking penalty, but Abdelkader gets called when he holds onto the stick.

good on the refs for not calling the interference on Kronwall since the Sharks player was initiating contact and doing a lot flailing as he tried to get by. it would be nice if the Wings had a 4th line that would chip the puck in and make the other teams D go get it and get hammered along the boards.

Yup. All these years people have been saying that the Wings will fall when Yzerman retires, when Fedorov leaves, etc. When Lids retires they may just be right. Even when Lidstrom isnt playing superhuman, he's still a better Dman than 90% of the league. Kings tied 1-1 with the Preds. Come on Kings. please score some goals for a change.

It changes shift to shift. San Jose has gotten their top line out against our fourth line a few times and dominated. The Smith Janik pairing has been a little shaky, which is to be expected. Helm, Z, Flip and Dats have looked good.

The San Jose color guy is awful. It's not so much that he's a homer. He's just bad.

I don't know what the Sharks fans are pissed about. With the Wings on the PP there's probably less chance of them scoring.

Smith just screwed Janik with that pass. Janik behind the net with a forechecker bearing down on him right as he catches the pass.

I like how the play by play guy points out Z grabbing a guys stick but fails to mention how it's because it was up at his throat.

Agreed. I hope Kronwall reintroduces himself to Havlat. the Wings could use a big hit this game. And I normally don't notice them but I feel like the linesmen were kind of a mess that first period. Some questionable icings, a non-called offsides. Just strange.

What a shot by Datsyuk. Wow. I'm not sure what Niemi was thinking on that one. If he had just faced the puck and stayed on his feet there's no way that gets in. Got caught cheating I guess.

I'm pretty sure he did. on TSN they have him listed as missing 6 games from a concussion. Wasn't that the hit? And isn't this one from his accident? At least that's what the timing seems to be. He gets in a single car accident and I don't think he's played since.

C'mon man, you're the admin of Letsgoblues. How would you want Wings fans to behave on your site? In the posts that are actually on topic, you'll see that there's people here who actually like the Blues team and/or how they've been playing this season. I'm cleaning up this thread now. The PA is the reason that is happening. I mean this seriously and not as a smartass but if you're not familiar you should look into the history of the PA and how players were treated by the owners before its existence. Even if you still disagree, it's some really interesting stories and time in NHL history.
