Agreed. It's definitely not cool to put your hands on someone else's kid in most situations, but what little info is out there it sounds like the kid got into it with Milbury's son. That doesn't justify it at all, but I think it colors it a certain way if he saw someone do something to his son and lost it. There's way too few details to really know for sure. It's not a stretch to imagine Milbury going nuts though. He's the bruin at the top left yanking off the fan's shoe and hitting him with it.

That's an interesting read. I hadn't really considered the affect of removing the red line and it's possible role in some of these hits. I'd be fine bringing it back if it reduced the number of concussions. And it's great to hear they're testing pads without the hard shells in them.

It's too bad. It was such a fluke play too. He fell down in front of Simmonds, who jumped over him but clipped him in the back of the head with his knee. It was a total accident but I'm guessing Simmonds feels awful.

Crosby is better than either of those players you mentioned. Obviously the league will survive. A still think he's a whiny little ***** (albeit an extremely talented one) but it would be a shame for his career to end so early because of concussion issues.
