I really was a fan when he came into the league, but with each passing season I like Ovechkin less and less...

Vokoun was beat. The shot went of Cleary's skate. He couldn't hop out of the way in time.

That's their great set play from last year. Nick charges the net like it's a give and go, but the guy at the faceoff circle throws it to Kronner for the shot.

He sure didn't make that look subtle, but it's still a call you don't see very often. Gotta get one here to at least blow the shutout.

Honestly I don't think he has been. Don't get me wrong he's been very good, but he's not really robbed anyone. Just made solid saves in traffic. (and I'm actually a big fan of Vokoun)

Wings are being too cute with their passes. There've been several that led to turnovers or near turnovers. Too many floaters just hanging out there to be picked off.

No. A couple bad plays that cost them goals. A couple penalties, but overall they looked pretty good in the first.

Well he left Detroit for Vancouver in part because he wanted a bigger role. Seems like he'll get it in Florida.

oh crap. I just realized one of the refs was Auger. At first I thought it was a horrible call, but pretty stupid play by Huds.

Vokoun is playing well, but the save of the night was Cleary's skate on Datsyuk's shot. He had Vokoun beat. (not blaming Cleary. just an unfortunate thing)

I thought the same thing. I'm guessing they're using the stats from his rookie year or something. Based on the Red Wings website, he's listed as 6'4" 220 lbs.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw him talking about how much respect he has for Franzen and whatnot, and I'm thinking, isn't this the guy that gave him a two-hander to the gut? Though it seemed likely it was under coaches orders. they pull Kipper and then Mclennan goes right to work slashing Mule's leg even before the slash to the gut after the whistle.

Agreed. On his the graphic that reviews all the points for his decision, he should've included "Franchise player" and "Norris trophy nominee." Therefore I've decided not to suspend Shea Weber. I honestly don't think it warranted a suspension, but this is certainly a different standard than Shanny has been applying so far. -
Great fight by E. Like the nastiness from him before it too.

I don't think Stuart was trying to be Mike Green, but for whatever reason he never seemed to be a good pairing with Lidstrom. And Holland has even said that Stuart basically earns his keep in the postseason when he takes up another notch.
