Yup. Lilja used to be the Lebda around here. Then he simplified his game and sacrificed himself blocking shots. When he was first playing for the Wings, I never thought there'd come a time we'd be saying "Man I wish Lilja was in the lineup."

One thing about Lidstrom, when the puck is bouncing around in the slot, he'll just make that simple play slapping the puck to the baords for the Wings to recover it, instead of trying to make a play. Clears it out of the danger zone.

Great work by the Helm line. He's not just fast, he's pretty damn hard to get the puck away from.

that's what it looked like to me to, but thought I might be reading too much into it. I used to be a big Ovechkin fan, but honestly as his career goes on, it gets harder and harder. He still does all the same s*** Crosby got grief for. He whines constantly, he dives, he's gotten much better but he still takes some shifts off, and of course there's the string of questionable hits. He's really exciting to watch, but man, I don't know. If I watched him play all the time, I'd probably be done with all his crap.

This. It's time, but it'll be sad to see him go. Especially when you see him do s*** like diving to block a shot with no helmet on.
