Bobby Ryan trying to pick a fight with the much smaller Lebda. For some reason I hate that guy more than anyone on the Ducks, even Perry.
-
Wings look absolutely lost in their own end, as the Duck win the puck battles and go the net at will.
-
Red Wings finally showing some life. They apparently have 35 shots on goal, though I can only think of a couple good scoring chances. s***. And there it goes. Perry scores off a turnover by Raf.
-
greatest post ever.
-
I thought so too, but apparently not.
-
I haven't been following the rumors, but how the hell could the Hawks fit Kovalchuk under the cap?
-
what's with Bodie trying to get a couple shots in with his elbows??
-
What a game. US narrowly avoids another collapse. And thank god it didn't go to shootout!
-
Almost a slew foot by Brad May in the offensive zone. What the hell was he thinking?
-
post! wtf? bad turnover almost cost the Wings another one.
-
Jesus. I feel like Babcock should use his time out now. Let the Wings settle down and get their s*** together. The ice is tilted right now. The Ducks are not a good team and Detroit needs these points.
-
good lord. I hope this game gets decided either way in OT. The shootout would be a brutal way to decide the game for these kids.
-
That's because you're downplaying how much he was pushed. As I said, obviously it's on the U.S. to close it out, but the refs served up Canada a golden opportunity to mount a comeback. Then the U.S. collapsed.
-
Ducks are crashing the net and it really has the Wings out of sorts. Honestly that's a weak call on Perry. He can't really stop with Maltby draped on him. There've been worse ones by the Ducks this game already.
-
The Ducks are getting all sorts of great scoring chances. That one Datsyuk didn't have his man. How often does that happen?
-
I flipped to the Wings game (unfortunately) so they may have already covered this, but please tell me they go to unlimited sudden death OTs for the final game and not a shootout.
-
In the replay he was pretty clearly hit from behind, but it also showed that he kind of fell into the goalie and didn't make an effort to get out of the way. The announcers first thought it was going to be on Canada. Like I said, refs should've let it go both ways. Obviously the U.S. has problems closing out Canada, but that power play sure didn't help.
-
Meech just tripped over the blueline. Not a good start to this game.
-
It's not a fair call when you consider that a Canadian player helped knock him into the goalie. It'll be unfortunate if that power play is what turned the tide here. It shouldn't have been a call either way.
-
How about we let a poll decide? So this thread can return to being about re-signing Holmstrom.
-
Kind of a weak call for this stage of the game, but the US player didn't exactly make a great effort not to hit the goalie.
-
good god. Campbell trying to hand one to Canada.
-
No kidding. With that one line in particular. someone needs to pass the puck if they want to get back in this game.
-
don't let up boys. Go for the throat.

to me it's better for the team and for AO if he can just be himself and not worry about what he's saying or doing as captain.
