Agreed. He needs to pick his spots, and that wasn't one of them. I read that he was just pissed because he got taken down in a way he didn't like, similar to when he injured his ankle, or something like that. Still, bad decision.

Watch the video again. Zidlicky is not starting to get punches off, he has his jersey pulled over his head and is swinging wildly. the refs did break it up fast, but that probably had more to do with not being afraid of being hit by a punch than anything else. It's not very smart for Crosby to fight. I guess it's good he's sticking up for himself, but he's taking himself off the ice for 5 minutes, and he's sure as hell not a very good fighter.

Why would he root for you?? Sorry couldn't resist. Seriously, can't we talk about Ovechkin without Crosby's name coming up?? Any new info on AO's injury? EDIT: "upper body injury." I guess that's the standard non answer for the regular season now, not just playoffs.

The three stars were Datsyuk, Bourque and Kiprusoff?? Not that any of them had a bad game, but in a Wings 3-1 win it seems like some odd choices. I thought Stuart had a great game and deserved mention, if not #1 star. And while Bourque had a good game for Calgary, he took a bad penalty in the offensive zone late in the third period that was sort of the nail in the coffin for Calgary. not a huge deal. Just seemed like odd selections.

I agree that Babcock should split up the Ericsson-Lebda pairing. But last night Stuart, Rafalski, and Kronwall all played about 2 more minutes than usual, so our top four was out there more than most games. -

Agreed. They've been hitting people and a good energy line, but they've also had a lot of scoring chances relative to their offensive talent.
