You can't fault him for the roughing penalty. that was a joke. But yeah, otherwise he's looked like the Lillypads of old. Casual hockey fans or non-fans might not have. Besides, it's NBC, they have to have their feel good athlete story. -

Agreed. It's going to be hard to make pretty plays when the ice is all torn up in the third, right about the time the Wings usually decide to start playing full tilt. -

That should definitely be a penalty. Homer took a whack at Huet before the whistle and right after he covered the puck. The Hawks player knocked Conks backwards after the play. Hawks are playing feisty. Wish we had a guy in the lineup to straighten them out a little. -

Good to see Strader doing the broadcast. He and Redmond were my favorite pairing of announcers. -
So maybe next time he won't showboat all the way down in front of the opposing teams bench. It's pretty easy to prevent. While celebrating a goal if you're close enough to the opposition bench to take a stick to the head without the guy even having to reach out, you're there because you're rubbing it in. And we're not talking about a slash to the face here. He stuck his stick out and the guy skated into it, then collapsed like he was shot. Like I said, stay away from the other teams bench, problem solved.
