It's still a little strange to watch the Red Wings without Steve Yzerman on the ice, since I'd watched them that way for 20+ years. But Z makes the transition a lot easier. Tons of talent, class, heart...

Props to the Pens fans for sticking around while the Wings celebrate the Cup. It's always a little weird to win on the road. And props for booing Bettman.

Pens are getting the better chances right now. Just putting it in deep and throwing it at the net.

for all those people who think NBC hates the Wings and is biased, all the announcers have been pretty clear on what garbage calls those were against the Wings.

He shot the puck and it was loose in the crease. No penalty. that's just making a strong play. It's not homer glasses. Even Pierre McGuire and all the other annoucners were saying what a garbage call that was, and how glad they were that the game didn't end on that power play.

Z didn't run the goalie. He drove hard to the net. In any universe other than Devorski's view from center ice, that's not a penalty. It's doing exactly what coaches tell you to do.

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet, but with 2 assists tonight, Zetterberg just set a new Red Wings record for points in a single playoffs, surpassing Yzerman and Fedorov.
