The Griffins would be down by 8 goals right now. The Pens are a good team. Did you think closing them out would be easy?

I was wondering how Hall scored that goal with his stick in the air over his head.

The Wings need to settle this down. they don't need to run and gun with the Pens. puck possession.

They could've called the too many men or the interference. Refs choice I guess.

definitely a disorganized power play. Pens are really blocking shots well so far.

Looks like the Pens have got Roberts out there to be Crosby's Semenko.

    hudler-filppula-cleary-franzen

no kidding! though in our defense, it's as if a few months ago someone tipped of Franzen as to just how good he is. He suddently became a finisher!

    Most Overrated/Underrated Red Wing?

I normally would agree, but this day is crawling and I think a lot of us are trying to kill time until they drop the puck.

    Most Overrated/Underrated Red Wing?

Draper is a good pick. He's still great defensively, throws some big hits yet doesn't get the attention of Kronwall or Drake, and is a monster on faceoffs.

    Most Overrated/Underrated Red Wing?

Overrated: Hasek. He got the starting job and the start in the playoffs based on past accomplishments. That's not usually how Babcock does things. One of the greatest goaltenders of all time, but hasn't been at that level for a while. Underrated: this is a tough one. There's a lot of guys I could probably justify, but I'd have to say Rafalski. Somewhat Lidstrom-like in the lack of flash to his game so he's often easy to overlook. And since he's usually skating right next to Nick, it's even easier to miss all the good things he does out there.

crosby IS better than dats, or z

Z is the more complete player for sure. He also has 7 years on Crosby. As much as the little crybaby has been irritating me this series, he's a great player and a hard worker. By the time he's in his mid 20s he should be even scarier than he is now.

    Conn Smythe Trophy Discussion

Assuming the series ends sooner rather than later, it's between Zetterberg and Osgood. And when it's close like this, I feel like it usually goes to the goaltender. Osgood is absolutely deserving of it. Even last night, Z was a monster, but Ozzy kept the Wings in the game by making huge saves on Crosby and Dupuis. For at least half the game, the Penguins had the better scoring chances.

    Man-Love Status Reached: Zetterberg

I loved how in the press conference, a reporter asked Zetterberg to talk about "the shift." and Z genuinely asks, "which one?" not like he was being cocky, but like one didn't stand out in his mind really.
