We don't need him to score two goals a game to win. The Wings have won two games without him registering a single point. And I have been looking at his play. As I said, he hasn't been playing poorly, but your top players are accountable. Three games and no points. All three players on the top line need to produce. You're letting Datsyuk off easy.

So to recap, Datsyuk who has no points, is doing awesome. Zetterberg and Holmstrom, who each have a goal and an assist, have been silent and are the real problem? Don't get me wrong, I think Dats has been playing pretty well. But no points is still no points. We're three games into the SCF. I expect all these guys to produce more, including Datsyuk.

Crosby should get an unsportsmanlike conduct for his "beard." It makes him look like some sort of creepy sexual predator, so all the Wings players are reluctant to cover him closely.

I think he has a lot of man-love for Forsberg and by extension the Avs, I've just never really felt like he hates the Wings.

I don't get why people think Melrose hates Detroit. He played for the Red Wings, and won a Calder Cup coaching the Adirondack Red Wings. He's also cousins with Joey Kocur. His first year as Kings coach (which he talks about all the time, unfortunately), he took them all the way to the finals. And was the last coach to get that miserable team past the 2nd round. Sure he says some stupid stuff from time to time, but mostly the guy's a goofball with a great mullet. I've never really gotten the hate for him. He does know hockey, and there's plenty of commentators who are much worse. Edit: Though to be clear, hiring him as coach of the lightning after over 10 years away from the job is a strange move.

I didn't see what he said, so I don't know if he really called them out. Zetterberg has a goal and an assist so far, which isn't bad but you'd like more. Homer has a goal and an assist, which is pretty good considering the abuse he's taken and the goal called back. And I'm pretty sure Datsyuk has yet to register a point in the SCF. It's been great getting the secondary scoring, but we need the ZDH line coming through in the clutch.

Exactly. Why all the hate for Emerick? Is there an official hockey dictionary he's supposed to follow? I think Doc is fine, and shovel shot and those other terms are pretty good descriptions of what goes on in a game, even if they're apparently not in the accepted hockey lexicon. If someone wasn't a Wings fan, they might not like hearing Bingo Bango or constant references to going out for a ginger ale by Mickey.

I think some people here need to suck on Therrien's pacifier for a while until they've calmed down about this loss.

Agreed. They've made a lot of sloppy passes getting out of their own end that lead to the Pens breaking up the pass and maintaining pressure. Some sloppiness by the Wings, and looking a little outworked.

The more this series goes on, the more I want to start taking back all the times I defending Crosby. An incredible talent, but he still needs to grow up.
