The good news is that Dallas has been totally outplaying the Wings so far this game, and it's taken a lucky bounce like that just for them to tie the game.

wow. the only way Morrow could've missed a more wide open net is if Ozzy was still in the lockerroom. All the missed shots on net has to be killing the Star's coaching staff.

I guess I was watching a different game, because to me the Stars definitely had the wheels out there and were winning battles for a lot of pucks. Detroit didn't possess the puck nearly as much as they normally do. The two goals came on about the only two quality scoring chances Detroit had. Cleary's as a third one.

yeah. Mac's line out there with Lebda and Chelios against Morrow and Modano is not gonna end well for Detroit.

I think that was a good call on Maltby. It was interference. I thought Dallas might have had too many men out there during the delayed call though. hard to tell. The Wings need to come out a hell of a lot better than they did in the first. I can't believe we're up 2-1. Dallas was flying and most of the time, the Wings were on the defensive.

That Chelios Lebda pairing has been brutal. It was gonna end in a goal or a penalty. The Wings were gassed and the Stars were flying and flopping trying to draw calls.

well said edi. Especially when you consider that Timonen just got sidelined by a blood clot last week. I don't know that I've ever heard of a player getting sidelined by that in the playoffs before. Now two guys in a week? Not saying it couldn't happen, but it seems odd and unlikely. And for all you armchair doctors out there. Can someone take a look at this rash? Edit: spelling

Hopefully that will cut down on some of the cries about how biased Versus is and how much they hate the Wings.

Maybe that's why I don't think the announcers have been that bad. I haven't had to listen to that tool. Olczyk isn't very good, but other than that I think they're fine. If anything they're treating Dallas as the underdog, which is why they seem to spend so much time on what they have to do to beat the Wings.

This slash has detracted from what a great game Ozzy played tonight. He was swallowing rebounds all night and made big saves when called upon. -
exactly. For it hurting so bad and being sore, Ozzy wasn't even really sure on where he got hit.

no, but the butt end of his stick caught Ribeiro in the face. (and once again, I'm am not justifying Ribeiro's two hander). Ozzy stuck his stick out, probably didn't mean to catch Ribeiro in the face with it, then Ribeiro came back and gave him a two hander to the chest. -

I wasn't saying it did. Merely that the Versus announcers rightly said Ozzy started it. I'm in no way saying that excuses or justifies what Ribero did. -

And Ozzy did start it. He moved his stick as Ribero skated by. Not that he meant to catch him in the face, but he did put the stick up as he went by.
