Kronner's done a great job on the offensive blueline tonight. He's held the puck in several key times.

exactly. It's why Flip and his 23 year old legs and lungs are getting great ice time out there. And it is easy to forget what a hometown advantage the Avs have playing at elevation. They play there all the time so their body has acclimated. Not so for the opposing team that flys in the night before.

some other Avs player just dove looking for a call. (Forsberg would be proud) thankfully there was none.

I didn't realize that was Flip who made the great pass to Draper. He's been playing amazingly well with the extra ice time.

Lebda's definitely got great speed. He's a big help getting the puck out of the zone and counteracting the trap. He needs to work on his playmaking once he's blown past everybody though. Usually it leads to a broken play or a low percentage scoring chance.

Hudler! Nice passback by draper and Hudler with the quick shot. That puck had eyes.

He gave up a juicy rebound and had no idea where the puck was. He's partly responsible there.

Good replay analysis there. Meech made a couple bad plays (pinching in and not finding the trailer) that led to the scoring chance on the goal. Hasek's still got to know where that rebound is though.

I wasn't excusing the play. Either way he needs to control the rebound or at least be aware that it's out there.

so you'd rather have guys who are fun to watch but lose games? like I said, Kopecky hasn't been great, but he hasn't sucked.

crap. Hasek thought he had the puck, or lost sight of it or something. He just froze there. And Sammy always makes these fancy moves, but then drops the puck back to the defenseman, instead of making a play deep in the offensive zone.

I think he needs to use his size more and get more shots on net, but when he's on the ice the puck is staying out of our net more often than not. That's not sucking. Drake is out hitting and fighting but has also been a liability.
