Davison is just now taking shifts, so there was definitely something going on with his hand. I like Downey. I just wasn't part of the "give him Kopecky's ice time" camp.

First unit out to start the PP. (Babs started the 2nd unit the last couple times) look at Sammy turn the jets on out there. Nice lead pass by Kronner. For those of you dogging him, pay attention. Plays like that are why the Wings want to stick with this guy. He's just gotta stay healthy.

Is 2 million the confirmed amount? Because when news about Markov first came out, the actual number was in dispute. Originally it was just under 2 mill, then I thought some other source put it around 4.

I hear ya. It's just that I've seen a few games now that I've actually been bored. It's starting to worry me. Either something's wrong with hockey, or wrong with me.

glad the Wings are winning so far, but I gotta say, this game has been pretty boring. There was a quick fight and a few good scoring chances, but not a lot of hitting, not a lot of great plays.

that comment wasn't directed at you actually. I like Downey, but the level of excitement from some of the guys here cracks me up.

Watching Kronwall on D (and this isn't a knock on Kronwall), he made a safe play throwing the puck up ice off the far boards. It made me realize how rarely I see Lidstrom do something like that. He makes the right play, but he also makes the play that allows the Wings to maintain puck possession. It's a subtle but remarkable thing. It never dawned on me before what a major factor he is in the Wings puck possession game.

He definitely knows his role and is good at it. But it cracks me up how some guys here are so happy to see anyone in a Wings sweater drop the gloves that they've become puckbunnies for Downey.

We're getting decent chances on the PP, but it still looks a bit out of sync.

Downey might have been better keeping the gloves on. The whistle went so Davison might hve been the only penalty.

Nice play by Kronner on the give and go off the blueline. Things like that are great to see from him. what speed.
