It always amazes me when the center ice ref makes a call that the ref 4 feet away is letting go. 90% of the time the ref right there has a better view, but it doesn't stop them from getting involved. -

It's not surprising. Cleary plays ugly grinding hockey that's suited to these kind of conditions. I think part of the reason Babcock loves him is because Cleary isn't afraid to go the net and take a beating. There aren't many players on the Wings who do that regularly. -

That puck would've been frozen if the wouldn't have interfered with Zetterberg after his shot. Apparently they're calling it a bit like they did the alumni game. -

I gotta admit, I thought the alumni game would be sorta fun to watch but not that big of a deal. But I found myself smiling the whole time, especially seeing Stevie out there with Fedorov and Shanny. Dats and Z are great, but those are the guys I grew up watching. Yzerman especially.
