That was a pretty passive aggressive calling out. In another thread I said that while reading it, it sounded more like Babcock was criticizing himself but after watching it, he was being a bit critical about them taking longer shifts and not having the energy to play at the high tempo they usually do. I don't think it'll have a negative impact on the team, Babcock doesn't strike me as the type of Coach who'll say something publicly he didn't say to their faces. I think the 1st PP unit will be better next game and Pav/Hank will play better as well.

McCarty was free and has been fine in his stint, you can't foresee injuries all the time and there's never a perfect contingency plan. Holding that over Holland's head is petty and nitpicking at it's finest. There's nothing a guy like Marty Lapointe would've done that McCarty isn't. He'd still play 5 minutes and take stupid penalties, it's what he's made a career of. Holland has proven he's the best GM in the league, not trading a 3rd rounder for some 15th forward isn't anything of consequence.

Quick question for you guys, do you think ticket brokers are bad for the NHL and especially the Wings? If you go onto ticketmaster, the majority of tickets are sold for game 1 which on the surface looks great, but then if you go to sites like stubhub and dailystubs.com (have you ever heard of dailystubs.com?) they have hundreds of tickets available. My concern is that people don't know about a site like dailystubs and those seats may remain empty because of it and Wings fans fanhoods are questioned again. Now, I hate this subject, I loathe it, but there's no escaping it.
