Turco DiPietro Brodeur

Hudler is a streaky goalscorer, I doubt he'll ever touch 40 or 50.
-
It's still channel 276 but the program names aren't there yet.
-
Woo! It's on Comcast Royal Oak(Rochester Hills area)

"Today, I'm not feeling energetic," he said. "Today, I went strong (to the net), not more dancing." When told what Datsyuk said, Lidstrom said: "I'd like to see what he could do when he's feeling good then. He's amazing out there."

The Wings are the 2nd most penalized team in the league, stop crying.
-
Destroying him in open ice is fine and it was a clean hit I guess, but there was no reason for him to leave his feet.

Harold, what exactly do you think he means by the statement? You know how Hasek is, this has more to do with getting Hasek turned around than anything else. Calling Hasek the #1 goaltender doesn't mean anything at this point. Osgood will still virtually split time with him or get more starts, it's been evident the entire year. Personally, I don't think Hasek could handle Babcock not saying that, Osgood could and has. It has nothing to do with earning icetime.

There's guys on the team right now who can replace them.

Not for a long time, not as long as Zetterberg and Datsyuk are on the team. Lidstrom will be a void that probably will never be filled but Holland will get another defensemen in here to try and fill as much of the void as possible. I'll be cautiously optimistic when I say this, when Lidstrom retires Kronwall should be in his prime, Rafalski will still be a very solid defensemen, Kindl should be making an impact. If Quincey or Ericsson can round out the 5/6 spot we'll still be fine. I highly doubt Holland won't be able to find a comparable defensemen with Lidstrom's 7.6m salary. It will have to be more of a defense by committee unless one of the young guys makes major strides. But, honestly, we'll be fine.

So, Burke gives away Bryzgalov to a division rival for nothing then trades a 2nd rounder for a guy who was a healthy scratch on the worst team int he league? Guess it could work out.

http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/hock...lov_on_waivers/ “What I promised Bryz is that I would find him a place to play,†Burke told The Canadian Press on Friday. “Bryz is a great kid and a loyal soldier. He’s won three playoff rounds for us and he deserves to play somewhere. But I was unable to move him. “The single, biggest obstacle was that he’s unrestricted at the end of the year. I wasn’t offered anything of value for him. But I promised him, `If I can’t get something of value for you, we’ll put you on waivers."’

Yes, but we wouldn't.

http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/ Lilja is a healthy scratch tonight, Meech will play.
-
http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/ Here are the probable lines for tonight ... Detroit Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Filppula-Franzen Cleary-Draper-Maltby Drake-Ellis-Kopecky Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Lilja Lebda-Chelios Hasek (starts) Osgood Meech (healthy scratch) Downey (healthy scratch) Sammy is out because of his newborn, but if it makes people feel better we can say Sammy is out becuase Hudler beat the **** out of him in the parking lot for not passing the puck enough and he's still recovering. Either way Hudler is starting the game on the 2nd line.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who saw this. If you missed it, watch the highlights tomorrow.

Welcome back Yzy or TGO or whatever (134096).

The Kings/Stars game. The Kings came back from a 4-0 deficit in the 3rd to win the game 6-5 in the OT.
-
You do realize they have another goalie named Kari Lehtonen there, right? Also, Howard will get a chance next year, he's only 24 years old he hasn't been waiting long at all.
-
Babcock said afterward Chris Osgood will start Sunday in Chicago and Hasek will start Tuesday.
-
Why? He signed his contract knowing full well that this would be happening from time to time. I think you guys look at a player being placed on waivers as a death sentence or something, he's not being demoted, but this was one of the specifics I'm sure when he signed his contract. If you read the quotes prior and post signing the contract, he understands his role and is completely fine with it. Not that it's a big deal, but the fans make more of it than he does, I'm sure.

http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/2007/11...rs-waivers.html I'm assuming every 30 days he'll have to clear waivers.

I could be wrong, but reading the Caps message boards gives that impression.
