Asham is a fine 3rd or 4th liner, he just isn't a top 6 forward.
-
Seems that your opinion of top 6 forwards usually consist of 4th liners.
-
I don't see how Asham helps this team at all, we don't need anymore 3rd or 4th liners.
-
If I were Ken Holland I'd make polls on www.letsgowings.com so that the fans could do the job for me!
-
Hudler, Kronwall AND a 1st for Radim Vrbata and Jim Vandermeer? We trade all that for a 4th liner and a #4 defensmen MAYBE if he ever puts it all together?
-
Whitney just re-signed in Carolina after his best season ever, I doubt they're trading him unless they're getting a top notch defensemen back.
-
Would you really want the Wings to get into a Tampa Bay situation? Have 3 forwards close to 7m/yr?

Possibly, but he won't be on the Red Wings. He is currently 10th on the depth chart without the depth defensemen even signed.
-
Brad Norton was big, gritty and fought, doesn't mean he was a good hockey player. Brad Ference ever playing on a regular basis for the Wings or any team for that matter is a pipe dream.
-
Both guys are heading to GR.

IMO = in my opinion AFAIK = as far as I know IIRC = if i recall correctly
-
We tried to pick him up last deadline, but he said no.
-
Explain, please. We've just gotten an upgrade at our #2 spot and the only 2 players we've lost that were here for more than 20 games were Markov and Lang. Lang is not much of a loss anymore and Markov was our #4 defensemen at best last year. The roster isn't filled out and even if Hasek never signs we'll still win the central and be close to the top of the West, again. Next year we have Filppula in his second year, who will be better and in a bigger role, no more Lang giveaways or illadvised plays. We'll hopefully have Hudler coming into his own and Grigorenko becoming as close to the player as management hopes he can become. If anything some of these losses are addition by subtraction and the additions aren't over yet.

He had Patrice Bergeron feeding him the puck though, but I see your point.
-
Unfortntely I've had to put him on ignore because of it =/
-
Man you really are depressed.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/article.jsp...702_200657_5088 Bertuzzi gets 4 million a year. 4 million. He isn't worth 4 million, not anymore and definitely not for us.
-
Dude, we just DID beat SJ and Calgary in 7 game series with Bertuzzi not being much of a factor AT ALL. Once again, did you miss all of last year?
-
I'll ask Phaneuf when he becomes a contributer in the playoffs.
-
Did you completely miss the entire last season?
-
Did any of you guys really want Calder back at 2.75m a year?
-
I'm surprised no one is pissed off at Bert and his comments of not wanting to move his family anymore and loving playing in Detroit and all that crap he spewed at the end of the season. I don't really care because at the end of the day it was a buisness decision, but I hate when players go on and on about wanting to stay but they never give their "but" at the end of it. It's so insincere.

There's no way of thinking that leads you to Schneider for Niedermayer ever becoming a wash. What young defensemen is going to fill his void? Schneider defenitely won't.
