Me neither, so why do you guys continue to make the in your face Datsyuk is having another great regular season, he's worth 6m/yr posts?
-
No, you're right. Simon has no excuse for this one.

People did boo after the game was cancelled... because no one knew what was going on. After they explained what happened people realized, but I can't get all high and mighty about something like that. The problem with what those Predator fans were saying is that they were making it sound like fans were booing Fischer, which isn't true.

It's knowing what you're going to get out of players, the Ellis - Langfeld - Hussey line brings energy and they have been pretty damn good at cycling the puck and keeping it in the oppositions zone. There are no results because Babcock isn't expecting results. He's just expecting them to go out there and kill some time in the oppositions zone. A guy like Bootland is a wild card, he's not as good of a skater as the other players and while he may fight, Babcock seems to like the other 3 players better and I can't really blame him. Bootland's 4 minutes isn't going to bring anything more than Langfelds 4 minutes. Bootland will probably fight someone, but so what? Sure it'll be fun to see, but it won't change anything like some fighters can.

They had at least 1 more

That line would force the league to institute a mercy rule.

OK, define real interest then. Either you want him, or you don't. There's no gray area.

It is impossible to institute a rule that makes it that a person who injures a player should sit out as long as the injured player is out. The punishment should fit the crime and while I feel Bertuzzi still should've sat some more games last year, I don't feel he should be banned from the league.

No it isn't, this is a lot less minor. This is not a herniated disc.

Red Wings fans need to tone down the arrogance.

the official "I am sorry for doubting you Mr. Holland thread"

The things you wanted added just isn't feasable, Lou. The word is that Mayers was looking to fetch a 2nd rounder? If all those guys like Mayers are worth 2nd rounder we wouldn't have a draft this year. It's a definite step in the right direction. -
Wings acquire Kyle Calder in 3-way deal

He's a UFA after this year and Williams gets off the point. -
I bet they don't feel done considering he's only played 58 games in the past 2 years combined.
-
Yeah, Cajanek looked good against us, but there inlies the problem, he only plays well against the Red Wings.
-
Filppula may not start and finish the game on the 2nd line but he'll still continue to see games where he reaches the 15+ minute mark. Hudler is going to stay under 12mins a game.
-
You're spelling it wrong is why, it's "flotsam". Easy misunderstanding.
-
It won't matter, he'd either produce this year or he won't. Let's say we wait, and the motivation for the contract propels him to average 2 pts a game and we win the cup. What happens in the next few years of his contract when he has no incentive? He's going to play the same now matter what.
-
I think because they'd feel it sent the wrong message to the fans, and more importantly (unfortunately) the casual fans. They wouldn't understand the reasoning and would look at it like giving up, same goes for the players. I wouldn't mind it, mainly because it would help balance our team and I feel Filppula is ready to be a 2nd line center, maybe not offensively, but he wouldn't be a liability. Your idea would be a smart one, but they wouldn't like it from a business stand point.
-
It's a very novel idea, but it will never happen. No team in our position would do it, not one.

First off, Craig Adams isn't an enforcer, the Canes don't have an enforcer they just have good team toughness. Ryan Clowe and Mark Bell aren't the Sharks enforcers, Scott Parker is. Thirdly, Montreal doesn't have an enforcer and even if they did, Souray wouldn't be it. Dallas also doesn't have an enforcer, they did with Barnaby but not anymore. They have guys who can fight but thats it. When I think of enforcers I think of McGrattan and Niel, thsoe guys. The scrappy guys like Bootland aren't enforcers.
