    Great scouting report.

    I Hope We Trade Kronwall

Kronwall's contract is like it for a few reasons. 1) Length, 5 years is a good commitment that you want to be with the organization and Holland/Illich are big on loyalty. If he were on a team like Nashville who has loads of defensive prospects, his deal wouldn't be anything like this. 2) Lack of defensemen with top 2 potential, the only other defensemen we have that actually has that potential is Kindl. Ericsson, Quincey, Lebda ect.. will be decent defensemen and will help this team, but Lebda is not going to be a go-to guy in his career, but thats OK. 3) Obviously in the Datsyuk talk this gets shut down, but his international and AHL accomplishments. You cannot sit here and tell me you don't see all of the moves he has, all of the chances he creates. They'll go in eventually, but you can't hang your hat on that right now. Kronwall is too important to this organization right now to be traded.

    I Hope We Trade Kronwall

I'm not sure you know what the words 'best' and 'worst' mean then, because it was blatantly obvious he had his best games with Schneider out.

    I Hope We Trade Kronwall

I believe Kronwall is our 4th best defensive defensemen and our 3 best offensive defensemen. Kronwalll logs a lot minutes, more than Lebda and during his time filling in for Schneider he played some of the best hockey he's played all year. Lebda is not a good defensive defensemen, he doesn't play on the PK for a reason. He's a good player because he can skate very well and it makes up for a lot. Lebda is a decent passer, has a weak shot but the puck finds the net sometimes and in all honesty, he'll be a career 4-6 defensemen. Kronwall plays all situations and has done well, sure he makes some bad passes every once in a while, but every defensemen not named Lidstrom has had just as many if not more. He creates tons of offensive chances, but they're just not resulting in goals. When Schneider leaves you'll realize how good he is.

    Hudler

There's nothing wrong with Z and Datsyuk getting 20-22 mins a night, I'd hope that they still get it even if we had tons of secondary scoring. My stance with Hudler is that he seems to be thriving right now with limited minutes, when he's gotten regular shifts and played on the PP regular shifts during the game he hasn't done as much as his "nonsense" 5-9 minutes a game. I think it has more to do with his matchups right now than anything. I don't want to see Hudler traded, he'll be in a bigger role next season.
  7. http://always-on-the-road.blogspot.com/200...-is-pissed.html I doubt he gets traded, but it's interesting at least.

    Who's your favorite Wing?

I could say either Z or Kronwall, but I'll say Kronwall for right now since Z is such an easy choice.

    Tucker a Wing?

I'd rather not have a loose cannon on the team, not to mention he'd be another Norton only getting 4 minutes a game. There's nothing "wrong" with Eager, but you guys bring up some weird ideas for who you think Holland should trade for, as unrealistic as it is to trade Williams and a 3rd for Tucker it's even more unrealistic that Holland or any GM would set their sights on a player like Eager for the stretch run. He'd never see the ice in the playoffs, he's not good defensively or offensively, he's an energy guy obviously and an enforcer.

    Tucker a Wing?

Haha, Ben Eager?? And I highly, highly doubt Freddie Modin is the "big fish".

    Super Bowl XLI

Huh? The Bears haven't dominated one team so far in the playoffs with their defense.

Colts defense > Bears defense in the playoffs. The Bears haven't played a team the caliber of the Colts yet.

SFE: Wings looking at 'star player' by deadline

Horton does kill penalties, but he doesn't have the defensive awareness like Zetterberg does. Also, Zetterberg bring just as much, if not more, energy to the table.

SFE: Wings looking at 'star player' by deadline

Zetterberg does all the little things that Horton doesn't do while still producing the same way. Horton isn't nearly as good defensively, he doesn't play on the PK, he doesn't play in defensive situations at the end of the game. His role, while important, isn't as important as Zetterberg would be and is. Horton's game isn't to be a total complete player. But anyway, I retract the "retarded" comment, came off a little strong.

SFE: Wings looking at 'star player' by deadline

I highly doubt that, he hasn't devolped the defensive game that well at all. Being physical doesn't makeup for defensive lapses.

SFE: Wings looking at 'star player' by deadline

It's not even about that, Horton is a compliment player, where Zetterberg is a player you could conceivably build your team around. Zetterberg would be helping the Panthers a lot more than Horton is right now. I know you like Horton because he plays a more physical game than Zetterberg, but Zetterberg is and will be the superior player.

Yes they would. They'd be completely retarded not to.

Rob Parker has as much credibility as Eklund.

Maybe best QB in the regular season.

Aha, but at the same time we don't even try to run to run the ball. Last in the league in attempts, last in the league in attempts on 1st down. The philosophy of throwing so much with a QB who doesn't make good decisions is just a recipe for disaster.

Gary Roberts to be traded soon?

Makes more sense for the Wings at the trade deadline.

What the f*** is the difference? Kitna, Harrington, Manning, Brady; it doesn't matter whos name is on the back, as long as the Lions logo is on the front no QB will be successful here with the Fords owning the team, Millen running it and a lame duck coach 'coaching' it.

    Super Bowl XLI

Only Marty Schottenheimer can stop the Chargers.

Gary Roberts to be traded soon?

But the entire point is to get younger, not older. Bringing in Roberts makes absolutely no sense for Phoenix. None.

Exactly, Kitna is awful. Any veteran can be decent in a Mike Martz offense, I don't care how many routes were run the "wrong way" or how many balls were 'tipped', when your QB is turning the ball over THIRTY PLUS TIMES and leads the league in 4th quarter turnovers, you're never going to be successful.
