Show me where this is the reason why people are praising Lilja, and of course Witt is better than Lilja, but he's not a superstar or anything, I wouldn't even call Witt "very good" he does a good job, and he's something the Wings could use but nothing more than that.

The Steelers are a great team and I was rooting for them to win, but the calls against the Seahawks were garbage for the most part, the offensive pass interference wasn't blatant, it didn't stop the DB from covering him. A few of those holdings were very, very borderline. The refs didn't win the game for the Steelers but they didn't exactly call it fair both ways.

Turn arounds are quick, look at Carolina, with a healthy Nash, Zherdev and Fedorov they could give us a lot of trouble next year.

Obviously we all have high hopes for Howard, and I feel he will be a fantastic NHL goalie. But Holland's style is to get the big name guy to be between the pipes when he has the cash. Do you think during the off season Holland might try to sign Luongo if he can for the right price? After reading: It makes a lot of sense for him to come here, although that would probably consist of trading Lang or another big contract to make room, and it would also mean that we'd be hard pressed to sign other players. Would it be possible? I'm not so sure it would be the best idea unless we find some way to make it all work and improve our defense at the same time (barring we don't before the deadline this season). The only way this could happen really is if Flordia doesn't offer them the max or trade him.

Howard's progress would be stalled by sitting on the bench in Detroit, even if he did get to play 35 games. So, I don't think it'd be a good idea to bring him up unless the goalie coach or whomever says he's ready, so he'll be a year away. I thought Grigs was ready to go this year if he wasn't still hindered by his leg injury? And Lilja would've been a fine 2nd or 3rd pairing if Fischer and Kronwall didn't go down, he's worth every penny IMO and should be kept.

Hasek pretty much made the decision for the club, the way he handled the situation there was no possible way to keep him. Don't act like this was just a Cujo or Hasek decision.
