Have you looked at the Preds AHL team?? The fact that they can call up guys from huge injuries and still go .500 is a testament to that. Especially since the majority of these guys aren't ready just yet for the NHL. The Predators probably have the best crop of defensemen prospects in the entire NHL. And as for Ottawa having good depth, are you serious?

Now that I'm done laughing at how quickly you came up with those stats, that data makes me very very sad. If it makes you feel better I messed up and we are 31-2-2 scoring 3+ as opposed to 30-2-2? peace Isn't Ottawa in the same boat as us in that catergory? And what movie were you talking about just seeing for the first time?
-
Then you better start the movement and stop watching them, and stop posting on the site since we already know the ending to this story.
-
It's Legace.
-
We already did, it's not like they beat us that convincingly. Well yeah we did beat them - but then Kippy destroyed us. lol I don't see the same happening though lol lol

-
So basically we can't do anything.
-
Uh, Babcock decides who plays and who doesn't.
-
Truer words cannot be spoken. Neither goalie has done anything to solidify their #1 spot.
-
I picked the Steelers because I'd rather them win, but I fully expect the Seahawks to pull it out because that's the way it goes.

Biron isn't a great goaltender and he isn't any better than Osgood really. He has no playoff experience and he's being shipped out of town because he's just a dime a dozen goaltender.

I wasn't parenting you, you disagreed, I wanted a better reasoning as to why besides already having a young goalie coming up. I never said Luongo was coming here, I said it made sense from what the quote said, which it did and I also explained how it would work for him to come here. As for berating other people? Where? I've disagreed with the players, and explained why I didn't think trades would work or could work, but I don't remember patronizing anyone about it, I explained my view of why it wouldn't happen and didn't tell anyone to stop smoking crack or whatever your reference was. If you could please show me where I've "s***ted" on any of their ideas I'd glady apologize, but disagreeing respectivly and explaining why I didn't think it would work is another thing. If you're talking about the Doan thread, more than one person agreed with me, I really think you're looking for things to get pissed at me about, because I haven't been sarcastically answering any of the trade proposals that have been coming around.
-
Your team is only as strong as your backup QB.
-
If they're trading Doan they're wanting to get a top notch prospect back, Doan is very, very valuable and Gretzky is in love with him. Grigs and Hudler might make him think about it, Lang wouldn't even get a sniff.
-
It'd take a lot, but Gretzky won't trade him.
-
Agreed. Use the $$$ to sign Roloson (or similar) and a couple of solid defensemen instead. With a few exceptions, I don't think it's wise to spend big money on a single player in the "new" NHL. It's too big of a risk, especially with goalies. Depth is the way to go! Of course it would be cheaper, but that wasn't really the point of the thread. The argument is moot since Luongo has since clarified by saying he wants to stay in Florida if they actually make strides to go for the playoffs.
-
Seth, if you're going to shoot down the idea, at least explain why it doesn't work. Players are retiring, the cap is going UP and Howard won't be ready next season. I'm not saying it will happen, I'm just saying it could. That's pretty much how all of these trade proposals work.
-
Well it's the playoffs, you leave everything out on the field.

Steve Smith is a MONSTER.

There's no reason to take Franzen off of the Maltby - Draper line.

1 more TD and the game is over, the Bears have no offense, none. This isn't the 2000 Ravens, they don't have Jamal Lewis and a QB who can actually complete passes. Seriously, I've seen more people jump on the Bears bandwagon this season than any other team. I don't care about the Superbowl, I just want to see the Bears lose.
-
I'm offically on the Panthers bandwagon.
-
Does anyone really think the Bears will win?

Manning is Marino2.0, but on the bright side he's still good for fantasy football
