The whining is predictable but fear not Helm is more than likely back to GR after tonight's game with McCarty coming back. This move was all about creating energy after a long road trip. Since many of you will just gloss over the fact (and my post for that matter), please continue to overreact and grab your umbrellas to shield yourself from the falling sky.
-
He pulled his groin actually.
-
Laraque isn't even playing tonight.
-
Downey has been a healty scratch in GR since he's really not doing anything of use and odds are McCarty will get a few games with extra minutes in GR then be called back up. As for Laraque, there's a reason why he was let go by the Penguins, he doesn't fight anymore or at least he doesn't fight for real anymore. It's obvious that you're a fight fan but get a grip.
-
Nope, Meech would get claimed.
-
Kopecky would get claimed McCarty won't. Hence the reason why he was sent down.
-
Kopecky-Datsyuk-Hossa Franzen-Zetterberg-Samuelsson Hudler-Filppula-Helm Meech-Draper-Maltby Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart Lebda-Lilja I really like that 3rd line, tons of speed there.

Don't be. I agree with the majority of your grades and while its great to have high standards you need to realize how good this team is. One of the major ones I disagree with Konann is about giving Stuart a C- and the only comment being about his point totals. Stuart isn't here to produce offensively, he's here to be solid defensively and physical. He started slow but has been very good lately and is a B at worst.
-
And it seems to have paid off with Hudler and Samuelsson on pace for career seasons. Samuelsson wasn't working with Filppula and Hudler wasn't working with Z/Franzen during even strength. Ever since the lines got switched everything has been gravy.
-
Correct. McCarty played the game after.

http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2008/11/li...imself_out.html "I think I can play better," Lidstrom said. "I think I can be better for 60 minutes. Looking at the team, that's something the team hasn't done either, so you have to look at the individuals that haven't played well for 60 minutes."
-
He dove falling backwards? Interesting. This is all complete overreaction. 18 games, 14 points, no penalties up until last night. Playing less minutes consistently than he has in years. Did Lidstrom look better last year? Sure. Did he look better in the playoffs? Of course. Is he playing badly by his own standards? Nope. One extra mistake a game doesn't warrant all of this craziness.

Nick got owned? I also saw people calling him a pylon? He fell down, big freaking deal. First major facial injury, new visor, new skates, new gloves, new stick. He's playing fine.

Whats up with that Edmonton ice?
-
It is.

I can assure you that if this turns into another enforcer vs. anti enforcer thread the redundancy won't continue.
-
He doesn't, which is why he'll be in the lineup on Thursday. Breath GMR, try and realize the situation before overreacting. McCarty was waived on Oct 20th, he's waived again on November 18th. It's not a coincidence.
-
I'll post this a few times. Downey was waived 4 or 5 times last year and was never reassigned. This is about cap flexibility. Waiving someone does not mean they get reassigned to GR.
-
Um. McCarty isn't going anywhere, he's getting waived like Downey did last year. He'll be in the lineup on Thursday. So relax. Heatodamus has a prediction!!!!! On the 18th day in the 12th month of the year of 2008, Darren McCarty will be waived again. OOoooohooohhhhh

Where've you been?

Andy Strickland is a complete idiot.
-
Holy ******* s*** I'm getting pissed at this broadcast. Now they're having us listen to the Flordia announcers.
-
I have no idea what is going on.
